When she was little she loved to say The Rosary, loves prayer groups too where people pray for healing. She is fascinated by this.

But in complete honesty to your question, my daughter knows what she sees around her. She is very vulnerable. She cannot understand her own feelings so therefore cannot articulate them. She doesn't know what fear is (recently found this out, always learning) so can return to dangerous situations. She is very much like a child in some ways, and very bright in other ways.

it is difficult for her to see past her own needs, she cannot relate to me or put herself in anybody else's shoes.

She has two babies. Something I NEVER thought would happen because of the way she is. My daughter and her children live with me, My daughter doesn't choose and make friends, she doesn't know how to. This leaves her vulnerable to people ever ready to take advantage. There are no laws to protect her.

Sometimes, she studies the face of people, guys have thought that she was 'eyeing them up', it is a very difficult road. But God is indeed with us through it all.

I am sure that there are other parents with autistic children here who understand this. It is a very sad condition. Sometimes it feels as if all the love is one way. But it isn't.

I will keep the three (daughter and two grandchildren) in my prayers, and for you, strength for the cross you bear.

Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

My dear new friend..we spent the entire day talking, she did go into my church for adoration in prayer, then we got together again at her home at 10 pm Holy Thursday and stayed until 2 am in her shrine..wow,not being a Catholic, she has it all, every holy card and saints, confessional reflections, paintings of our Lord galore, she made flat bread, and some wine to dip the bread into...music to listen to as well, readings, oh my...I was dumbfounded to witness it all. We finally started the rosary, after the first 10 hail Marys, we stopped, she wanted to know why so many hail Marys and only a few Our Fathers? The creed was the same to my amazement
The Blessed Mother wants it said this way..she request we say it correctly, she brought Jesus into the world through the Holy Spirit and ... I gave her readings .

This is always the biggest question for non-Catholics..
keep in mind she loves to study about all religions..she knows so much, even about jewish traditions their attire. purpose beliefs etc.( scraping the surface if you will) I could not keep up with her, I was tired to begin with and by midnight I was trying so desperatley to even keep my eyes from crossing and focusing and keeping a train of thought .. her zealness kept me there.

But after watching the movie on Mother Teresa of Calcutta, she said , as long as you are a good...budhist, Catholic, Muslim, etc. I assume, she as a pencil for God is saying in a nutshell..to be good to others/Christlike regardless

I look at the Amish today as I once admired..not so sure now how they disown their own in rebellious ways, it is very severe..not sure if I agree, for everyone is a sinner.

    Marys Child,
I had no idea, I was thinking your daughter with autism was younger and in school. So she is in her 20's or so and blessed with 2 children. I am so glad she has you for a mother, indeed she is blessed.
I ordered the kissed relics from Garabandal store in NY, where the missals were kissed by the Blessed Virgin and it is sealed to a medal. I also got the scapular. This morning my children had their writing test for the StARR test in TX. Anway, my children and I said a Hail Mary and they kissed the medal too.
I asked my son on the way to school to say an Our Father as well and told him his angel would with be with him today, not to fret and know he can write as well as he speaks.
I also believe there will be some healings in my family with this blessed relic and want all my children to have one as well. Contact Garandal store in Ny and also Aus. has a store as well.
