RoryRory and Sanctus: I too was addicted to alcohol and drugs and have been sober for 14 years through God's grace and a 12 step recovery program I am very active in. God is good. My son was playing with stimulants. He came home from college and I noticed this immediately. He was using way too much of his prescribed Adderall. We confronted him several times and told him what we thought. The disease was so strong, he was screaming and cursing at us. But I thought "this is the disease speaking".....I got Lourdes water and sprinkled it all over his bedding and the floor of his room and the seat at his computer desk. I prayed Our Lady Untier of Knots Novena....I went to the grave of Bl Juniperus Serra while in Carmel CA and begged his intercession on behalf of my son. I prayed to Pio. I covered him with the Precious Blood of Christ throughout the day. I had all my prayer warriors actively praying. Several weeks later....a huge change in him. I asked him yesterday what's going on. He seems so much better. He told me he took himself off the stimulants. He was sick of them and what they were doing to him. PRAISE GOD. Miracles happen. Don't lose the faith....Rory Rory....I will pray for your son as well....we are in this together. I believe Satan is trying to rock our faith in these times....this experience truly strengthened it!
Thank you Bonaventure and Sancus for your testimonies. They both made me feel as if our prayers for family/friends with addictions ARE being heard and Will be answered. God is merciful indeed.

Prayer for the Release of a Loved One from alcohol or drug Addiction through the Divine Mercy and Blood of Jesus: Lord Jesus, I put myself into Your hands This day. I ask You with all my heart, to cure the terrible addiction to alcohol(drugs) in (name of person). Create in them an intolerance for alcohol(drugs) that will prevent them from ever offending those who love them again. And grant their loved ones the grace to forgive them for all the hurt they have caused. Through the Divine Mercy and blood of Jesus, I also pray that they will be healed of all withdrawal symptoms of this terrible affliction. I sincerely ask this, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Welcome to the Forum! I too am a fan of the messages and have read them all. I also keep in touch with Msgr. John Esseff. Do you know him? I pray several times a day, "Woman clothed with the Sun, come and do not delay!" Our Lady's presence is strong! I do know about the refuges. I do not discuss them online however. I will say that it is very important to pray to your angels to discern what our Lord wants you to do regarding them. There are many people being called to do them, and others who set up survival situations as a 'survival of the fittest' situation out of fear. I live in Montana and was told to move from the West coast seven years ago by our Lord. We got firm direction to move to a certain city, into a certain home by a priest who is a mystic. There were more signs than I could count that this is exactly where our Lord wants us. We never, ever intended to come here....lol Our Lady told Father Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests that the desert that she has run to in these times is the hearts of her faithful priests...and we as the faithful run to her for refuge. You must bring her so much love and comfort !! I read your bulletin for this week. You have a lot of wonderful things going on in your parish! Bless you!!
