The ending of discrimination, the spreading of the wealth, decent employment for all, the stopping of abortion, a decent and equitable medical system, hope for the youth, THESE and more - when they are the established, are the things that will allow people to sleep peaceably in their beds at night.

Evil in the shape of greed and other vices is stopping these things from being implemented.

The people are asleep. Russia's errors have invaded western society (as was the plan). And ordinary people are duped into thinking that more and more weapons are the answer. The killing multiplies and the devil rubs his hands in glee. And Christian people come out with statements like "God bless, and pass the ammunition"

It is quite simply impossible "to commit to genuine diplomacy" negotiation and agreement when the other "Party's" Bottom-Line is: You submit to Islam or Die! Besides!! Who the Hell are we supposed to parley with!?? These people are not really united. There is no central Islamic Caliphate and if there was, they still would have their own Sunni/Shia Civil War. These people are savages and take delight in cutting each others throats! .......... and even if 80% of Muslims truly are "peace loving" they are still cowed into submission/obedience by the savage 20%. It's a Battle to the Death now ....... make No Mistake!! ... and China, North Korea and Russia are waiting to pounce at the first oppotunity!

PS: I don't have a M-16 under my pillow though I did qualify Expert with one in the Old AF and it would be illegal or too costly for me to own one............ However, I do ....................

It's a very simple concept...people are killing and blowing themselves up for ALLAH. Yes I said it. They don't care what you say, I say or what any government says. They hate every one and everything especially democracy. Sheria law is pretty simple... follow us or DIE. That is the end of arguments, debates or your righteous nonsense.

No matter, fallen saint. But I'd like to ask how you know that all these people want to kill all of us? Is it because you've went over there to the Middle East and talked with them, yes? Are you there right now asking them, am I right?

If not, who told you this?

Here in Northern Ireland there were people that signed up to terrorist organisations because they just wanted to hurt other people. There was a lot of that. Of course there was fanaticism too. Others got involved because they had negative experiences and wanted revenge. It all added up to murder upon murder upon murder and it went on for a generation.
This middle eastern conflict is of a much larger scale and will have wider repercussions. Folks, anything we can do to avoid this should be done.

 

Note that 'Jack who is not okay' describes terrorists as a 'travesty'. Now, if you heard me trying to sing, for example, that is something you would be entitled to call a travesty. Cutting peoples' throats, crucifying them, blowing them limb from limb and so on, requires a term something stronger than 'travesty'...'satanic' would be closer to the bone. But that's a term 'Jack who is not okay' prefers to use in order to describe St. Michael combatting Lucifer, the D-Day landings or General Franco defeating the priest/nun-slaughtering communists of Spain. All this is verifiable from reading his prior posts. I am afraid we are all being played by this troll.

 

DeGaulle, why do you attack me for using an adjective that you find not quite descriptive enough? Are you trying to insinuate that I don't absolutely and totally abhor these ongoing terror attacks? Are you now insinuating that I find some sympathy or value in these attacks because I happen to think that there is another way than an endless spiral of murder upon murder? REALLY. I mean, REALLY!

This thread has gotten way out of control and off topic. It has been for some time now debating Charlie's authenticity over and over and now the 5 pages of fighting over war and violence. I am locking this thread and if Padraig wants to change it he can. I am warning all here. It is one thing to have differences of opinions and great to discuss those differences, but when one does so without charity, I have a problem with that and do not want that on a public, Catholic forum devoted to Our Lord and Our Lady. Many of these responses have lacked charity for each other. Discuss your views but remember to do so with love for your fellow brothers and sisters.
