What strikes me, as beautiful of this image is and while it reassures us, I am thinking it is telling us Christ the King is coming very soon on the white horse. I trust those with Him are the legion of Saints who have had their robes washed brilliant white in the Blood of the Lamb. I know this is Christ the King of the 4 horsemen in Revelation. Any other thoughts among the forum?

It is what struck me as well. I need to be reminded of this because it gives us such hope in a world which is so horribly gone askew.
May God have Mercy on us all on that great and terrible day.

We are doing a second ,
'Mass causality study', in the hospital. A practice fro very major incidents when we expect thousands of casualties. This is the second in just a few months. We have never had such things in over ten years working here. These things are organized by the Government right across the country. It makes me wonder; why now?

Padraig, I too had a surprising dream last night. I was standing in the middle of a church festival, where a procession had just begun. I saw many priests in green and some in gold vestments happily leading a procession, of lay equally joy filled people. There were flowers everywhere, I stood on the side of the road, by a fence getting ready to enter the procession line when all of a sudden, someone placed a hand on my shoulder, and I turned and it was Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI . He walked beside me, he was small and stooped and wearing his white robes and white skullcap, then he took my hands in his, smiled at me and kissed me on my cheek, he then smiled at me and joined the procession. I was too surprised to move, but felt happily surprised by the experience.

I've never had a dream like this, and never dreamt about any pope, or clergy. It was all very colorful and carefree. I remembered the smell of the roses.

    I was a happy dream.

This makes me think of "going out to meet the Bridegroom"--unity and happiness and joyful anticipation and there is our Pope getting ready to go too. It seems very significant.

I haven't had a vivid dream in a long time and last night I had a strange dream which included a friend of mine who I met in college and then worked with for several years. He also worked with my husband at another business for many years but we have not seen him in a long time. In any case, he is a Jewish guy whom I could honestly never see converting but he was in my dream in which he was wearing a very large crucifix. It was a bit of a shock to me, to say the least.

I am sure it is a call to prayer. Maybe sent by his guardian angel.

Well I for one believe it. To my mind this visit by Jesus was a loving encouragement to your son.

    It all seems so stupid.
I have a day dream sometimes about going round Germany in 1935 and leaving modern history books of the Second World War with fUllapool colour pictures in the great libraries and universities.

    But would it stop them?

    No.

It is as though we were in a small canoe being swept to a waterfall

Our sins have brought us this awful pass

I find this dream in the vicinity of the conclave that elected pope Francis very interesting, the boat in the middle of the storm seems to indicate the Church in the midst of crises and threats of schism in the current pontificate, while the vessel sailing downwind seems to indicate the conversion of the world, Church and world sailing in the same direction.

This is an amazing dream. This is the first I have seen it. I am thinking of the 90 degree angle of change into the wind instead of against it very provocative.. has the Church over the last 60 years been against the wind of the Holy Spirit? Thus the storm and danger. And has our "Captain" (Jesus? Or the Angelic Pontiff that has been foretold?) Finally righted the ship and turned her back on course?

It's hard to believe that this dream was 8 years ago now as it still seems so recent. I've pondered what it might mean over the years and I'm afraid I am still none the wiser but the most recent thought I had about it was when the Pope announced the year of St Joseph and I wondered whether there was any connection there with the young captain of the ship. I think I wrote about this on another thread, maybe one about the St Joseph announcement. I'll see if I can find it.
