Every Advent rolls round I just love to listen to this. Even managed to get the Tree and Lights up today! Amazing. Isaiah 9:2–7 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
Well.. it’s modern song… a rocking and rolling one but I find it beautiful for the soul. And since it’s Sunday.., the day of Resurrection… it’s full of joy. Thinking about my new grandson … it’s his first Sunday in this world created by a most loving God! I hope no mater you find yourself this day.., know God has you covered. Peace Like a full force gale, I was lifted up again I was lifted up again by the Lord No matter where I roam I will find my way back home I will always return to the Lord In the gentle evening breeze By the whispering shady trees I will find my sanctuary in the Lord I was headed for a fall Then I saw the writing on the wall Like a full force gale, I was lifted up again I was lifted up again by the Lord
Psalm 25 (Douay Rheims) ...6 I will wash my hands among the innocent; and will compass thy altar, O Lord: 7 That I may hear the voice of thy praise: and tell of all thy wondrous works. 8 I have loved, O Lord, the beauty of thy house; and the place where thy glory dwelleth. I sang along, for whispering shady tress are a wonderful thing; but to silently kneel before the Monstrance of the Lord within His House is far, far better, yet!
I was on my way up to visit the Home of Mary at Ephesus one time and we stopped to look around the old City of Ephesus (the house of Mary is up a Hill beyond, over a hill in peace and alone). But what struck me about Ephesus was at the time Mary lived nearby it was the Gold Trading Capital of the World, it's Financial Hub. The New York or London of it's day. Satan's Home. Full of Idols. I expect that's why St Paul's Letter to the Ephesians is his best and deepest is because he lived close to Mary there.
Regina Caeli is Latin for “Queen of Heaven”. This prayer dates back to the 12th or 13th century and its author is unknown. It is a tribute to our Blessed Mother and an exclamation of joy at the Resurrection of our Lord. REGINA CAELI LAETARE - THE TALLIS SCHOLARS It is my intention and on my bucket list to see the Tallis Scholars live - they are one of the best choirs in the world.
