It's now essentially a 4 person race, Trump, DeSantis, Nikki, Vivek. Christie, not really. Neither Christie nor Vivek will qualify for that Iowa debate since the threshold is 10%.

Donald Duck Trump's refusal to show up should be disqualifying. He's running and hiding - like he dodged the draft, unlike DeSantis, who joined the Military - because he knows he can't defend his record of adding 8 Trillion to the debt, while DeSantis ran Record Budget Surpluses in Florida.

Plus, he probably saw DeSantis brutally destroy Newsom the other day. And yet, if Trump feels otherwise, and thinks he can defend his record, or even defeat DeSantis in a 1-on-1 or 3-person debate with Haley, then he should show up and debate both of them. At least Haley showed up, but DeSantis is clearly the Best Conservative in this Race. If Conservatives are actually serious about winning the 60-50+year Pro-Life Battle/Culture War, as they say they are, everything that is necessary is here. If Governor DeSantis gets in, it's over for the Left, and Conservatives win big on absolutely everything.

I will stand by that statement and see how it plays out months or years from now. DeSantis' past record, which is simply stellar, is what assures me of it.

Donald Duck Trump needs to stop "ducking" the debates and show up sooner or later. He may show up before the New Hampshire debate, but skip the Iowa one. It's also practically down to Trump, DeSantis and Haley now, as one else has qualified. Just 3 Candidates. Jan 10 Debate mostly going to be DeSantisvsHaley.

 

I don't know why Trump would bother, if anything it would legitimize the other candidates and hurt his numbers.

I agree. It's like in college basketball. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose if you are a top team and you look to schedule an out of conference mediocre team. If you win, no big deal to the overall end of year rankings because you are supposed to win however, if you lose, it can wreck your seeding when it is time for the NCAA tournament selection.

I say this as someone who has become completely indifferent in politics these days trusting none of these candidates that have come forward. The world is a sad, scary joke these days, my trust remains in the Lord and those true good and faithful people who believe in Him, trust in Him, love Him and do His work.

 

And Biden will say the same to Trump in the general, and when Biden beats Trump again, conservatives will cry "cheating", taught by Trump who claimed Cruz "cheated" as soon as he lost Iowa. He's probably going to do the same when DeSantis wins Iowa this time, just watch. I pity those who can't see that DeSantis is as good as Reagan and Kennedy, and will probably prove himself a better Pro-Life Catholic President than them by 2028. Meanwhile, Playboy Trump, bragging about his adulterous heart, who's now attacked 6 week Heartbeat bills is allegedly this "Great Conservative". Yeah, right, Lifelong Liberal, more like. For those 4 years, he was ok, probably because many people prayed for him. Right now, he's relapsed back to being a NY Liberal Dem.
