I wonder how many people here are aware of how extraordinarily blessed Ireland is in this regard? Other countries I have lived in, even other Catholic countries like France and Spain, don't have this extraordinary network of adoration chapels across the country. And so of course they don't have people going to them, being bathed in His Presence ... or at least not to anywhere like the same extent. Another thing that makes Ireland extraordinary ...
I don't see anyone commenting on Spiritual Direction by a trained priest. No, not all priest are trained in this form of ministry. It is a multi year certification program. I also agree, Adoration is outstanding for healing. Over time, I have found healing of my soul in different matters by going regularly to spend time with Jesus as He showers me with His grace.
I started this book a few days ago - it is phenomenally good, can't recommend it highly enough. Very reasonably priced on Kindle. Thanks Brian for the info.
Back in the the late '70s I helped out at a Retreat Center for a year. It was headed by a wonderful priest, Fr. Jim Fallon. During retreats he would frequently have Adoration immediately following Holy Mass. Fr. Jim claimed it was a marvelous time of healing because the Presence of our Eucharistic Lord would be radiating from within our hearts while simultaneously shining on us from without. Safe in the Flames of the Sacred Heart!

Beautiful and true! How I wish more priests would proclaim this! (And this is one reason this forum is great - it's proclaiming truths our priests are frequently forgetting.)
A search for Séamus Byrne Gowran, Co. Kilkenny found the Mother of God site for me. I visited Séamus about 6 or 7 years ago for a cure for shingles. I found him with Google. He more or less heard my life's confession, did an exorcism on me. (maybe a mini exorcism would be a better description) And the shingles were gone in a day or 2. A weird thing was that I had a tiny blemish on my body that I didn't even think to ask him about. I noticed that was gone too a few days later.
