Ireland has fallen

I think it has gone to the point where those smeared as 'far right' represent what used to be the 'centre'.

Anyway, these classifications originated in the Enlightenment, so they are inevitably unreliable. It is becoming increasingly clear that one ought not think of spectra, but of the binary option of whether one is a sheep or a goat (with no offence intended to actual goats, which are delightful creatures that provide excellent cheese!).

A political coalition of those who still think and act in a Catholic way with those in Unionism who do so in an undeniably Christian manner might provide a serious counter to wokeism, in the context of a unified Ireland. Although we are concerned about chaotic immigration, it ought be remembered that many, probably the great majority, originate from cultures that share nothing in common with wokeism.

Wokeism is constantly in search of new fads, to replace the ones already discredited. All those television ads for veganism seem to have been replaced with ads for electric cars (in my memory, conventional car ads occurred mainly in January and were otherwise quite rare). Yet, resistance is now growing against these cars and sales are not at all corresponding to the saturation advertising. Resistance is apparently increasing against the satanic trans programme, as the evidence of its abuses continue to grow. I recently read of a Freudian hospital claim that babies 'know' they are 'trans' in the womb (!), which was immediately countered by a man who said on social media that this logically confirmed that abortion was irrefutably the murder of a self-aware human being. Our recent referendum results strongly indicate that there is little public support for gender-bending. Please God, may the tide continue ro turn.

His tenure will be short. I think there must be some other scandal about Varadkar. He completely blindsided his colleagues. He was highly emotional. This is not the behavior of someone who has spent time considering his options. He was either pushed into it or else something big coming down the tracks for him. Also all possible candidates except the hollow man with overweening (sp?) ambition more or less declared themselves not interested. Something doesn't smell right.
Leo said that Matt(his partner) is delighted. For once we are all on the same page. We are overjoyed

There is no politician on the left who comes to power without a lot of crime, corruption, and scandals behind him. Whoever the "elite" brings, they have plenty of opportunities to blackmail him as soon as he says "no".
When you say no, the next day there will be articles in the newspaper about your scandals, corruption and how you have to leave.

Take for example that dean at Harvard. She is an LGBT black woman who spread terrible hatred against whites, Christians, patriots and was celebrated and praised in the newspapers. When the war in Gaza came, when she sided with the Palestinians "suddenly" it was discovered that she had plagiarized her thesis and articles about it appeared every day until she was forced to resign.

They don't bring in free politicians, they bring in slaves to carry out their plans. God gives freedom, evil never.

It wasn't just politicians they nailed... Anyone from any walk of life was "invited" in.. take bono and U2 for example, they had so many references in their songs to the bible and to God etc. but when it came to Ireland's referendum on abortion ------ U2 came down on the side of the abortionists. I reckon, like so many, when their debt was called in, they had to yield or face the consequences. They chose the way of the world rather than stand up. (Tho they probably couldn't stand up because, like the politicians, they were probably blackmailed). I never felt the same about U2 again after that treasonous act.

Also, Springsteen... Bruce Springsteen; he's unrecognisable from the principled man of years ago. Another puppet of the crazy, blood thirsty democrats these days

My question would be, did they naively go in, possibly thinking they could "be the change", the ones to "make a difference"? Only to later, after fame & fortune set in, completely forget the plan, or were they on board with the deception from the get go........

The world of "entertainment" does not tolerate God. This can be seen as many actors who glorify God and have not yet built a reputation quickly run out of roles, get kicked out of the industry and the like. This happened to Jim Cavielez, who at that time before Passion was not only a great hope, but had 5 to 6 top films behind him. Today, especially through social networks, actors, singers, athletes are role models for young people, everything is monitored and where they can control, they want the role models for young people to be those who promote chaos, discord, hatred, and not those who talk about God, forgiveness and kindness.

However, there are those who have become stronger than the industry because of their reputation, like the Clint Eastwood guy who can freely say he's going to vote for Trump and it doesn't matter to him. U2 is such a band, they have a reputation. But here comes the man himself and puts his own benefit before God, money, fame... it is known today to say that you are against abortion, especially in Europe because the USA is a different thing than us (as you are from Ireland, I believe you understand what I mean ) is something scandalous.
These are all calculations, he doesn't want to be left without a large number of fans which means without a large source of income.
Although, I read a little about him now and he grew up in a Protestant/Catholic home. He says he was not raised "dogmatically" which means he learned to choose what suits him. We often see this today, either in the world of celebrities or in ordinary people. How many times do we hear that I'm Catholic, but I don't believe in hell, evil, I stand for abortions and the right to choose, gay marriage. They also believe in God, love, so they go to yoga and celebrate Halloween... So a little bit of everything to satisfy their ego..

    A very good question..
U2 are 'old timers' -- when they came on the scene perhaps 'the handlers' hadn't perfected their methods. I suppose its anybodys guess how they became traitors to themselves and their expressed Christian views.
These days however, young 'musicians' probably have a much more stark choice -- push the agenda they're told to push; or push off.
Though that harlot 'Madonna' well, God only knows how she was selected and why she wholeheartedly embraced the evil. She and Hilary Clinton scare the living daylights out of me. The evil is bursting out of both!

Unfortunately you're right on all points. The world truly has gone to the dark side.
It's funny, but that line that our lady said, always resonates with me

"...if humanity doesn't change and better itself, then God will send a terrible chastisement even worse than the deluge..."

I don't mean to be fatalistic or hopeless here, but surely she is aware that humanity simply won't change. I mean, look around.. the apostasy is in full swing and gathering pace. Abortion is rampant. Marriage is profaned and attacked. Pornography. Violence. War. Etc etc etc - and the thing is, the vast majority of people are okay much of it.... In addition, some people on this Christian website actually try to justify certain conflicts -- which absolutely stuns me.

Anyways, please forgive me for saying this about our ladys words; but how can humanity change course?
I just can't see humanity bettering itself from this point of depravity. Unless --- unless --- a jolt, or 'something' is sent from from heaven. That's the only thing that I can think of, which will induce global change. Otherwise, we're bang on course for this thing that will be 'even worse than the deluge'.

It certainly seems that we have "fallen into shadow" as Tolkien puts it. But I also think we should each of us try with all our hearts to be one of the "10 good men" Abraham couldn't find to save Sodom. For the sake of the ten righteous figuratively speaking God may save the rest. I live in hope but I am not given to unicorns and rainbows. We are ina deadly toxic world. Anything can happen. And probably will but I pray the Rosary as continuously as I can. As do so many of you. Our trust is in the Living God Who made the heavens and the earth. David's five smooth stones that felled Goliath are surely the 5 mysteries of each Rosary United to the 5 wounds of Christ.

Love this. I'm going off line myself for Holy Week. Going to try the best I can to keep a song in my heart and the Rosary in my hand. Whatever fear may arise I hope to join to the Lord's Agony in the Garden. "Praise to you Lord, King of Eternal Glory!"

That's the most important question you could ask, can the course be changed... That's what I keep saying.
I follow the statistics, do you know which two things have never happened in history?!

Fertility, i.e. the number of births, has never fallen in history. Today we have a situation where over 100 countries with accelerated growth have less than 2.1 children, which means extinction. For now, the only ones holding on are Muslim countries and Sub-Saharan Africa, although there is also a big decline there. So in the entire history of mankind, we always had 5+ children, large families, only people lived shorter lives, diseases and the like. However, survival as such was never in question, there was not so much egoism, hedonism with today's extended education, co-conception, sexualized society, pornography, LGBT, identity confusion, feminism, advancement of technology and ease of life, etc.
Another thing is religion. People have always believed in the supernatural, on all continents and in all countries, no matter what religion and nation they belonged to, they always believed in the supernatural. Today, we have a global increase in atheism, which is increasingly affecting the young generation through liberal culture. And we see this drastically year after year with various deviations in society and the abolition of the natural laws of sexuality, family, freedom, right down to the individual himself...

And now we come to your question, can the course be changed? The answer is obvious, without some great miracle there is no theory. Today you can't force anyone to have children, you can't tell people about God today like you used to when they saw death around them and disease every day and knew that such an end awaited them too. That this life is not everything...Today everything is disguised, and man himself has become God.

By the way, we have one show. It's called "On the Edge of Science". Guests come there from various fields, from science to mysticism, knowledge of the universe, aliens, etc

Very good show, I'm surprised they haven't canceled it. Mainly, I remember one guest and that sentence stayed in my head all these years. He said that today the "elites" or the modern world have managed to convince that God does not exist. However, two groups believe, these are those at the very bottom of the scale who believe in the supernatural (God) who are often ridiculed as primitive and naive. And the elites believe, even though they don't show it, but they also worship at their sessions and gatherings, just not to God, but they believe in the supernatural and respond to that evil and offer sacrifices.
Atheism does not exist among the elite, it exists among those who have a big ego and think they have all the knowledge in the world and can live as they want.

I already said on one topic. As I follow the real saints who had gifts, literally disappeared from the scene 1968. The last one was Padre Pio(d.1968), there I listed my Croats Ante Antić (d.1965), Leopold Bogdan Mandić (d.1942), the American Solanus Casey ( d.1957), Canadian Andre Bessette (d.1937). These are the saints who had the gift of reading minds, hearts, sins and the gift of prophecy. Modern saints for whom there were thousands of witnesses...The years when they died are in parentheses.

However, it is interesting how God "pulled" them all exactly at the time of the Second Vatican Council in the 1960s, when atheism and falling away from faith, the rise of science, the sexualization of society, the disintegration of the family, the growth of the lgbt movement, and divorces started. ..

I have no doubt at all that the Third Secret of Fatima should have been read no later than the 1960s, because practically all of this begins in the 1960s.

I agree with your analysis. Wr are in the aftermath of the failure of John XXIII to obey Our Lady. Our shepherds failed us and we have failed ourselves and we have all failed God. And our culture is doubling down on it. And our current Church leadership is as well. Even secular sources see the danger of demographic winter. China and Japan are in real trouble and so is the West. Only Moslem countries and Sub-Saharan Africa are holding steady. There are real life consequences to murdering our children in the womb or preventing their conception. But the doubling down goes on.

Icebergs are mostly under the sea We only see the tips of icebergs

So too with the saints. Padre Pio himself pointed to at least two of his spiritual daughters and saus they were far holier than him. He wasn't being humble in this for humility is the truth made manifest.

We have more martyrs at thr present day than we have in the whole history of the Church. The Martys ardor course saints

When things get darkest the light shines brightest.

As St Louis Grinion de Montford pointed out in his famouprophecy towards the end of the world we will have saints who like the Lebanon Cedars will tower over all other trees

Back to the ice bergs. You don't have to see them for them to be there

    This is a human speaking

    It's depressing, negative and false

The Church is not loosing at the min ute, it's winning

The Truth is not loosing at the moment it's actually winning

They only appear to be loosing.

Evilhas to appear to have won all before the ultimate triumph

Just like the Lord if the Rings...

    Or Christ on the Cross.

As Fulton Sheen said the Church was born amid disaster.
