    "God gave them over...."
It sounds to me like He stepped aside and pulled away the restraints and let them go. Tough love. To let them have what they want. You let them go until the pain and destruction shows them the evil of their choices. No addict seeks freedom/treatment until the pain outweighs the pleasure.

Yes it has turned out to be unfortunate but I still think it was a brave priestly pastoral choice. We are seeing the Deposit of Faith eroded minute by minute. The rub comes with directly blaming Francis. That was bound to cause a storm. I am sure he calculated that possibility but deemed it essential to say nonetheless. He seems so much a measured humble man. If he has done wrong God will show him. I think Dan Lynch might have gone to him privately and warned him. But he has chosen to go public. Now sides are being chosen. Very unfortunate.

Yes. And Dan Lynch has fallen into the same trap. I very much wish he had not felt the need to make his statement. A private word to BP Strickland would have been the right thing to do.

I was thinking of Mr Neumayr just the other day and it’s still a loss. He did a lot of reporting on the Archdiocese of Washington and the National Shrine there.

Oh dear God, if I have time I must have a look at this.

I keep thinking, 'Nothing would surprise me anymore'. But then I see something like this.

    Awful.

Yes. And his death was highly suspicious.

It makes me think of things like Poor Cardinal George Pell, Pope John Paul I and poor Sister Lucia.

The various secret services are killing people like there is tomorrow at the minute. I blame a lot of it on the Israeli's. the Mossad with their hit squads, killing all over, that set the modern ball rolling.

The frightening thing is that all of us can potentially be monitored with this level of facial recognition technology and cameras.

The stuff they have now makes all this look like the silent movies. It's a Fine Art.
The Mossad do what they can with what they've got, but they're from a bygone era.

They can kill anyone anywhere without leaving a trace. The only reason they leave people suspicious, that they leave loose ends, is they want to scare people off. they want people to know they did it.

This is why , for instance they FSB , the Russians keep throwing people out of Hotel Windows, not because they are clueless but that they want to send a message.

They want people to know. Same with Mossad.

But if they don't want people to know the most that will happen is head scratching.

  14. Dan Lynch is a lawyer and a former judge. I think that is why he is getting involved, but I wish he hadn't.

It’s a major spiritual war going on. And the confusion will get worse. Right now I am more focused on that Texan priest, Fr John Mary, and his alleged messages. Many are following him into his sanctuary without the authority of his Bishop. This is major danger. And trying to convince many that this priest is against the magisterium is getting harder. People are upset with this Pope and his cardinals, and are not aware of how dangerous it is to follow a disobedient priest.

I agree with HH. Although Strickland is very brave, but I feel he should cool it for now. We need the strength of prayer, Eucharist, and confession to get us through this war. It’s what Cardinal Burke and many others are stressing. It’s the only real way we can defeat the evil.

For me the problem is not the very, very few Bishops speaking out, you could count them on one hand, but the Bishops who stay silent in face of huge, huge evil out of cowardice or self interest.
