I agree. Divine intervention. Like postcards sent from heaven to remind us to stay strong. God is in control.

  4. Is Google Working with Liberal Groups to Snuff Out Conservative Websites?

Google revealed in a blog post that it is now using machine learning to document "hate crimes and events" in America. They've partnered with liberal groups like ProPublica, BuzzFeed News, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to make information about "hate events" easily accessible to journalists. And now, there are troubling signs that this tool could be used to ferret out writers and websites that run afoul of the progressive orthodoxy.

On the surface, this looks rather innocuous. It's presented by Google as an attempt to create a database of hate crimes — information that should be available with a quick Google search, it should be noted. But a quick glance at the list of partners for this project should raise some red flags:

The ProPublica-led coalition includes The Google News Lab, Univision News, the New York Times, WNYC, BuzzFeed News, First Draft, Meedan, New America Media, The Root, Latino USA, The Advocate, 100 Days in Appalachia and Ushahidi. The coalition is also working with civil-rights groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, and schools such as the University of Miami School of Communications.

To anyone who might be interested, I just looked at my Catholic calendar and August 21st, the day of the great eclipse, is also the memorial of Pope St. Pius X. He was known as a fervent anti-modernist and indeed warned against it poisoning the Church in his official papal writings.

If there really is something to all of the symbolism linked to the August 21st-September 23rd events then surely this is just another sign!

Yes. I noticed that. No coincidences here. May St Pius X intercede for the Church and all of us struggling here.

Maybe the flooding yesterday in Kansas City, Missouri was also a sign? https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kansas-city-heavy-rains-flooding-missouri/
This city is located almost exactly in the middle of the USA and it experienced 100% totality of the solar eclipse on 8/21, the day before the flash flood. IDK.

Prayers for the lives touched/lost by this flood and the flood in Ireland.

Speaking of floods, it looks like Texas is in for tropical storm/hurricane pretty soon. Report below from the National Weather Service this afternoon.

    SITUATION OVERVIEW
    ------------------

Harvey remains a tropical depression in the Bay of Campeche and is
forecast to strengthen as it moves NW towards the Texas coast. Harvey
will likely become a tropical storm or weak hurricane over the next
couple of days. The primary impact from Harvey will be heavy rainfall
and flooding, but there will still be a threat for tropical storm to
hurricane force winds and storm surge along the coast.

    POTENTIAL IMPACTS
    -----------------

    * FLOODING RAIN:
Prepare for life-threatening rainfall flooding having possible
extensive impacts across Southeast Texas. Potential
    impacts include:
    - Major rainfall flooding may prompt many evacuations and rescues.
    - Rivers and tributaries may rapidly overflow their banks in
multiple places. Small streams, creeks, canals, and ditches may
become dangerous rivers. Flood control systems and barriers
    may become stressed.
    - Flood waters can enter many structures within multiple
communities, some structures becoming uninhabitable or washed
away. Many places where flood waters may cover escape routes.
Streets and parking lots become rivers of moving water with
underpasses submerged. Driving conditions become dangerous.
Many road and bridge closures with some weakened or washed out.

    * SURGE:
Prepare for life-threatening surge having possible significant
impacts across the whole Upper Texas Coast. Potential impacts in
    this area include:
    - Areas of inundation with storm surge flooding accentuated by
waves. Damage to several buildings, mainly near the coast.
    - Sections of near-shore escape routes and secondary roads become
weakened or washed out, especially in usually vulnerable low
    spots.
    - Major beach erosion with heavy surf breaching dunes. Strong and
    numerous rip currents.
    - Moderate damage to marinas, docks, boardwalks, and piers.
Several small craft broken away from moorings, especially in
    unprotected anchorages.

Also, prepare for locally hazardous surge having possible limited
impacts across northern Galveston Bay and Trinity Bay.

I found the following article that sort of backs up my idea, http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=14524857

    From this article,

" Kansas City is the embodiment of the middle. It's near the geographic center of the continental United States. It's the dividing line between a traditionally "blue" state (Missouri) and a traditionally "red" one (Kansas). "

I honestly had no idea about Kansas City, Missouri's history when I posted about the flooding yesterday. Also from the article,

" As local author Whitney Terrell puts it, this is where "the issues that are most painful and difficult for the nation to deal with are played out in their rawest form" — slavery, abortion, the battle to save family farms, the red/blue political split.

The rivalry between Kansas and Missouri flares up every year when its flagship universities square off on the football field and basketball court. But it goes much deeper than that — back before the Civil War.

Missouri was a slave state. And Kansas suffered raid after raid from its neighbor to the east because it "did battle to halt the Western expansion of slavery," says Cheryl Brown Henderson, daughter of Oliver Brown, the man who brought the landmark Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation case. "
PS- The last I heard about the Texas storm Harvey, is that it has been strengthened to a hurricane. Prayers going up for Texas.

  15. Saw this on Spirit Daily today. Probably others are already familiar with the persona and the phenomena attached. Years ago I had witnessed the rose petals via a friend with whom I ran our adoration at our parish then. I believe I've also seen some you tubes about this phenomenon of the rose petals and their images, etc. Until reading this article though I was unaware of the parish mentioned in it which happens to be around 2 hours away from me. It's rather amazing particularly here with the priest's testimony.

Such beautiful stories of the miraculous. It would be wonderful to attend a Mass there or spend time in adoration and prayer there.

  17. From Sr. Emmanuel's Report from Medjugorje for July:

    2. The Anointing of the Sick. During a mission in Asia in 2011, I participated in a Mass during which the priest offered us the Sacrament of the Sick. As I had a problem with my cervical vertebra (upper spine) so I went forward, and after I received the Sacrament, I was healed. This pain never came back.
Many people come to Medjugorje or Lourdes to ask Heaven for a healing. Many also pray for this intention. They are often willing to travel thousands of miles in order to meet a priest with a special gift, or even a "healer", to have their prayers answered.
They forget that Christ Himself has left us a special Sacrament for the sick in which all His power unfolds, as it did in the time of His preaching: the Anointing of the Sick. Some are healed after receiving this Sacrament, others are given the strength to bear their suffering with Jesus.
This Sacrament, which for a long time was called the Last Rights, is not just for the dying! Given its rightful place after the Second Vatican Council, it is offered to all those who suffer from a physical or psychic illness. This Sacrament is given along with the Sacrament of Reconciliation - a good confession with renunciation of sin - and the Eucharist, two Sacraments that can also bring healing.
To anoint the sick, priests use the Oil of the Sick. All parishes have the in store this Oil of the Sick and it is desirable for this Sacrament to become better known to the faithful, and received more often. Let's not wait for the patient to be dying in agony before we offer it! Of course, the Blessed Mother willingly prays to her Son to heal us, but why not ask first for the Sacrament that He Himself offers us through His Church? (See PS1)

    4. A great disciple of Christ, Father Kevin Scallon, left to join the Father on June 25th, during the 37th anniversary of Our Lady's apparitions. Throughout his life as a priest, he tirelessly travelled the world to draw souls to God, especially to His Eucharistic presence. Endowed with inspired words and often the gift of healing, he frequently accompanied Sister Briege McKenna in her missions, thus saving a large number of priests, releasing them from all kinds of torments that the enemy can inflict upon "God's Chosen ones".

    5. Christmas Eve. While Father Kevin was driving to his nephew's house to celebrate Christmas, his car broke down at 9pm. The car just would not start again but he was still an hour away from his nephew. It was Christmas Eve, and since he had left Dublin, he had not seen a single car or a living soul. In the glow of the moon, he saw a small house right in front of the place where the car was stuck. A light shone at the window. He decided to ask to use the phone to call his nephew. He opened the little white wooden fence, followed the path and knocked at the door, as there was no doorbell. A man looking rather young opened the door and greeted him warmly. Looking inside the house, he saw a young woman with a baby in her arms. She was holding the baby's head against her cheek. She smiled at Father Kevin who asked her husband if he could make a call. The young man replied, "We do not have a telephone, but if you walk back to the city, there is a bicycle salesman to the right of the supermarket, he will let you use the phone." "May I leave the car in front of your house?" asked Fr Kevin. "Of course, I will keep an eye on it," replied the man. He thanked the couple and wished them a merry Christmas.
So, on this beautiful night, in the moonlight, Fr Kevin walked all the way to the city to the bicycle shop. On the way, he kept thinking about his meeting with the couple and their baby, especially with that strange smell in the house. It did not smell like Ireland. Why did it remind him of his recent trip to the Holy Land? And why was the house only lit by candles?
From the bicycle shop, Father Kevin was able to call his nephew who came to pick him up. The next day, they fixed the car with a local mechanic. When the work was done, Fr Kevin wanted to say hello to the young family living opposite, and walked to the little white wooden fence but he couldn't find it. There was only a hedge, and farther on, just a field, and no house as far as the eye could see. On the return trip, his nephew kept talking. Father Kevin, meanwhile, remained silent. It was the feast of the Holy Family... Hadn't he seen it with his own eyes?!
