DeSantis is 100% the Catholic Choice. He is a Pro-Life Champion, a Catholic Christian Hero. Based on his Past Record (e.g. of firing Soros-backed prosecutors), he will defeat the Deep State, he is Rock-Solid against Abortion, signed a 6 week Heartbeat Bill, knows the difference between a Man and a Woman unlike Donald Trump, was a Military Veteran, is a Good Family Man, a Good Christian, a Good Husband and Father.

Ron DeSantis is a Good Christian Gentleman who fought for and stood by his wife Casey De Santis when she was struggling with Breast Cancer. The contrast with Trump who as a serial fornicator bragged about his sexual immorality couldn't be clearer. I wish all the Pro-Life Catholic Organizations would come out and endorse De Santis for 2024 as the Clear Pro-Life Catholic Choice based on his Clear and Consistent Pro-Life Record.

The Deep State hates Trump. Perhaps in their focusing on him, DeSantis' chances for becoming the Republican nominee will increase. However, even if DeSantis does win the nomination, the Left and the Deep State probably believe they can then derail him. The hatred for Trump actually increases the prospect of a DeSantis nomination. Still, the MAGA contingency remains strong. In their eyes Trump is a hero and can do no wrong. You must remember, Xavier, that the Catholic population in the USA is anything but uniform, as has been the case for multiple election cycles.

In the 2020 election, the Edison exit polls estimate that 52% of all Catholic voters went for Biden, and 47% for Trump! The Edison exit polls in 2016 showed a 46% Catholic vote for Clinton, and 50% for Trump. These estimates thus reflected a three-point downturn for the Trump vote among Catholics and a five-point uptick for the Democratic candidate (Biden compared with Clinton). The AP VoteCast estimated of the national Catholic vote in 2020 showed an almost even split: 49% of Catholics voted for Biden and 50% for Trump.

So my thought on the emerging campaign is as follows: the MAGA voters will generally stick with Trump. More of the Catholic vote will shift to DeSantis. Even if DeSantis pulls an upset and wins the Republican nomination, I'm afraid Trump's ego may prod him to run as an independent which would increase the prospect of the Democratic nominee winning.

This is where prayer and fasting comes in. The chance of the Warning occurring before the election would also significantly increase prospects for DeSantis' election, but that expectation (at least on my part) has decreased because the Pope still needs to go to Moscow, and that does not appear as likely for the near future as it did just a month ago.

God's Will be done. Prayer can move mountains!

 

Unfortunately, I’m pessimistic when it comes to the next elections. I still see a Democrat in the White House.

 

Bottom line, don't count on any politician to change our culture. Vote your conscience the best you can to align with catholic values, but ultimately we know only God can and will change our culture

 

Will there even be an election?

 

People assume the world is going to go on as normal. Look at the world around us. The signs are everywhere and God will not be mocked.

 

I don't think there will be an election and I will not cast a vote for anyone that is pro-abortion period. With that being said, I don't trust Desantis at all so like I have done in many elections, I will abstain from voting. Desantis has blood on his hands as well from the pandemic. He may be 100% pro-life for babies, but he wasn't 100% pro-life for the elderly of Florida especially when he bragged about Florida having the highest number of vaccinated elderly at the time in all of the country. How many of those poor souls have died or dealing with awful side effects from the evil vax? How many loved ones died alone in Florida because the nursing homes and hospitals were closed as well? I am sorry but I just can't champion anyone who wasn't on the side of life and freedom during the pandemic even if Florida was better than so many other states, it still followed the same protocols on many horrible levels.

I know many have different opinions on the vax but I know of at least 5 people now who died after getting the vax. My poor grandfather in law, who had lost his wife of 50 years of marriage, needed to get a procedure done. He was forced to take the vax and died one week later of heart failure (the procedure wasn't even for his heart). I dear long time family friend of mine was in the same predicament. She needed a procedure done, was forced to get the vax and died of heart failure a few weeks later. A young teacher at my kid's school, healthy and 29, had just had her baby. She decided to get the vax to keep her family safe. 2 weeks later she died of heart failure. Her husband was left alone to care for a one month year old and their other young child. My boss got every vax and booster and then developed cancer a few months after the booster and died 3 months later. The body counts continue to rise. My wife's best friend's mother in law, died suddenly just last year. She took all shots. No other known health symptoms.

I agree with Andy on the vax. Statistics are mounting up. I know of two people vaxed at least 4 times who now have "turbo cancers"---not a coincidence i fear. They are pushing this new booster to be given to babies. I have no words.

I don't know what to think of DeSantis but I cannot vote will not vote and refuse to vote for anyone who wants to allow abortion. Period. Including Trump. Like Andy I may sit this one out.

 

I am very discouraged, and feel the same. This country has sunk so low it will take a miracle to pull us out of this mess. The Biden administration's policies have caused chaos from coast to coast, and around the world. Respect for our leaders is long gone. Sadly, a presidential election is no longer an election, it is war.

 

I am so sorry to hear this about your spiritual director/friend. So many like him coerced into this mess. We are seeing only the beginning.

 

What a tragedy, poor man truly believed he was doing the right thing. I do fear for my children who were also forced into the jabs to keep their jobs. Employers even went so far as to use Pope Francis' position on the vaccine against anyone who applied for a religious exemption. For the sake of the faithful it would have been wise of him to avoid the woke politics surrounding the jabs.
