I often wish that God would shout instead of whispering.

Well, you could ask Our Lady to give you a sign of roses.

But there's nothing wrong with God's voice and quite a bit wrong with our hearing..

    I may be quite wrong.

But I still don't believe the Consecration tomorrow will work.

    Why?

Well all prayer requires good intentions.

The Pope is central to the Consecration and own perception is that he is very, very ill intentioned.

    I hope I am wrong g..

    We will see.

But I have very grave misgivings.

    Yes.

    Although it looks good.

Still I think of the words of Jesus.

That a bad tree does not give good fruit.

....and Pope Francis is just about the most rotten tree I ever saw in my entire life.

..and the Good Lord knows I've seen some very bad ones

Agree Padraig, but maybe, if the news of Benedict doing the consecration is correct too, then the good fruit may come from him? Wishful, hopeful thinking of course. All these priests, bishops and laity connected in prayer for this as well, can't be all bad though,

For we as Catholics though, the Pope is very Central .

He sits in the Chair of Peter.

It was of him Christ said...on this Rock I will found my Church.

It all goes back to him and comes fro. Him..

Like a car the lights may be good theory's may be good..

but if the engine be bad..

We have a ery, very, very bad a
    Engine here .

    ..can the car still run?

Suppose Moses were bad when he led the Hebrews in prayers of intercession?

    Would it work?

The Pope sitting The Chair of Moses?

    Will it work?

Does it matter if we have a good Pope or bad Pope leading such prayers?

Moses is described in Scripture as being favoured by God.

I'm sorry but my take with Francis is the exact opposite.

    These things matter.

He's just a purely bad dude

I think as you do Padraig on this.
I hope I am wrong as well.

In 1984 Pope John Paul II neglected to say the word Russia at the Consecration.

This new consecration reportedly says Russia, Ukraine, and the world.
It feels like to me the pope is doing exactly what King Louie the 16th did while under guard before the guillotine took off his head and removed the French monarchy from power.

The Chair of Peter is not obeying Heaven' decree.
It is being done over 100 years late like the King of France and is disobeying Our Lord's wishes ( It is Our Lord's wish that Russia is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady delivered that message at Fatima).

I just wish the Pope would just say Russia is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary( in union with all the bishops throughout the world) and as an act of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to call on all the faithful to attend the next straight 5 Saturdays in a row in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifferences in whereby He (Our Lord) is offended.

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
Delivered by the Angel of Peace during the Third Apparition of the Angel in October 1916.

A bad priest can perform valid sacraments or a valid Mass. His sinfulness does not negate the power of the sacrament as I understand it.

"What man meant for evil God meant for good." God writes straight with crooked lines. It may be this turns out quite differently that the enemy intends. It just may be Our Lady says to her Son, "for my sake please accept it." We just don't know. I am hopeful because God is good and His children are praying their hearts out.why give a stone when we beg for bread. Jesus assured us that would never happen. I am hopeful. Maybe we have the equivalent of the ten good men.

Louis XVI's punishment for delaying the consecration was the outbreak of the French Revolution; and his own destitution and death; perhaps the Pope's punishment for failing to properly consecrate Russia is a revolution in Italy - an event predicted by many Church mystics such as St John Bosco and Sister Elena Aiello.

If we had a choice of going to Padre Pio's Mass or Padre Pio's Confession Box and any other priest on the e tire planet , which would we choose?

Which is why two hours early fro 3 a..m in the morning they were fighting each other to get in there.

Are you telling me they were mistaken , that it didn't matter Padre Pio or no Padre Pio?.

Or that going to Padre Pio was not better for goi g to Confession?

Or that a dud Pope or good Pope makes no odds?
