That may be it then. In 1969 there were many more true Catholics than there are today. The great apostasy may have already happened and now The Warning will turn things and help the church rebuild from our current relatively small group of believers
And through the pedophile scandals and constant attacks from the secular world, the Catholic Church has already lost much of its social standing amongst the masses
The apostasy has surely been in effect for decades, but I expect something major from the Church that will cause great division, i.e. something on re-marriage to set off the right and/or a new Marian dogma (mediatrix of all graces?) that will set off the left I found the following statement very intriguing from the Pedro Regis messages Peter translated for us: 4005-Message of Our Lady Queen of Peace given on July 11, 2014 ... In these difficult times, I ask you to intensify your prayers for the Church of My Jesus. Two steps: decisions that will annoy [contrariar] men and women of faith. Pray. This is the message I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace
Concerning the Church, I got an email from Steve Glynis. As some of you may remember shortly before Pope Benedict retired I had a vision of the Pope(Benedict) in his office being shown a piece of paper by a priest and beginning to cry. I always wondered what this meant. I suspected it was somehow associated with his retirement but was not sure. Anyhow here is Steve's email. This is of course very much for your own discernment, I don't honestly know what to make of it myself. Something to pray about anyway. http://eponymousflower.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/the-resignation-of-benedict-xvi-from.html I would guess that I do consider the resignation of Benedict XVI to be valid. What I am describing today is from a dear friend who gave me permission to publish the message on the condition that their names not be mentioned. In the cloistered convent, where she lived, modernist priests often came to propagandize the sisters, to "aggiornare" [Bringing them "up to date"]. One of these priests asked the nuns to pray that Benedict XVI. resigns. My friend, who preferred to keep her traditional friendly attitude from these priests, and thus made friends with a priest, a leading representative of the modernist movement. He confided to her quite openly that he and others like him among the clergy and the religious gathered thousands of signatures to urge Pope Benedict XVI. to resign. My friend asked the priest what will happen in the event that the Holy Father were to refuse to resign. The Modernist replied that the Pope had already been informed about it: If he does not resign, they would establish a new, separate church of Rome. And it will not be a small church.' According to what was known to him, many Church leaders would be willing to join the new modernist church. The crypto-schismatic clergy also laid emphasis on the finding that they preemptively support had been assured by those already who control some of the leading mass media and the media would promote the new church. Some time later, on February 11, 2013 Benedict XVI actually announced his resignation. My friend told me many more details, whose the publication of for several reasons would be unwise. Now many will think: If things are to be so, then the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. is invalid. Because in order to be valid, it must be done voluntarily and without any compulsion. To me it is still hard to believe that Benedict XVI. could have made such a serious step to make a false resignation leaving the church in the hands of a false pope (regardless of ever being elected in the conclave). Therefore, I am of the opinion that Benedict XVI., as he saw himself besieged by a flood of conspirators who were willing to schism, the most stressful thing that can happen to a pope, who was already 86 years old, no longer felt the power to effectively govern the Church and to resist the subversion of the modernists, who preferred to abdicate. Ultimately, he did not renounce his office, because he was put under pressure, otherwise the resignation would be invalid, but because he no longer felt the physical and spiritual strength because of his age, which he considers necessary in order to oppose the modernist movement. Reason for Withdrawal too Banal For Office and Office Holder? Cordialiter's argument remains weak on this point, that Benedict XVI. precisely because of the underlying, but noticeable refusal to follow by many church leaders could not guarantee that a Pope they desired would emerge from a conclave. The validity of this described also can be due to lack of secure data check difficult to understand why it is easy to brush off or could be initially dismissed even as a belated construct. The good reputation of Cordialiter guarantees sufficient credibility, not to omit any of the facts. The nun's description proves in any case, that the spectacular and completely unexpected resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. is still something of a mystery and which preoccupy many Catholics. The withdrawal is a serious shadow on the pontificate of this great thinker and prince of the Church who has had his legacy severely damaged. Ultimately, because that he did it himself and thus only official reason seems so banal. Too mundane for this office and this office holders.
What's not considered in this Who knows? But the writer's judgment that the reason Pope Benedict gave for his resignation was too banal doesn't consider the actions of the Holy Spirit. If God is speaking to little old me and little old you in these times, wouldn't He speak to the Pope? I truly believe Pope Benedict was relieved of his duties by the Holy Spirit because what is before the Church was beyond his strength. And we absolutely do not have a false Pope! Who knows what schemes and evil plans are being hatched? What we do know is that we have a big God who is overseeing the entire chessboard.
I accept Pope Francis as true Pope of course, that was a particular twist the writer put on the story. But that Pope Benedict may have been under some kind of pressure when he resigned? I don't know but I am open to the possibility.
I will take our former Holy Father at his word http://www.religionnews.com/2014/02/26/pope-benedict-rejects-rumors-resigned-simply-absurd/
little me, It is wonderful to hear your three oldest know what's coming. I am not whining, it is difficult when all of my family are liberal and do not believe in prophecy. My daughter wants to work with refugees, her calling but when I speak to her about here in America, going to the refuges, she does not believe or that America could be attacked. I am laying low for right now, my siblings are worse.
We all have family, friends, church members, co-workers etc... who are in no position for us to reveal what we want to in regards to getting prepared. I try to keep in mind, I am just a 'seed planter' and for the moment the only thing we may be able to do is pray and do penance. At some point, for those our Lord wants us to affect, a door will open for us to plant a seed. This is the unity that Jesus speaks of.....us and Jesus hand in hand.
Hi Fatima- I thought that your post above and some of the other ones about helping to find and prepare our families, friends, really anyone who will listen is reflected in today's Gospel. The Word of God is alive today and was not just for the people back in the early days of the Church. Just as the first disciples were told by Jesus that they would now be fishing for men, for souls, I think that is what many of us are be called and will be called to do in the very near future. Despite all their bumblings, the apostles were such brave men. When I read the last words of this Gospel that "When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him. " I've been struggling so much lately with this very thought. Will I leave EVERYTHING to follow Him? I am pulled back to this world so often lately - trying to make a living, raise my 4 children, and live in the work and yet not become of this world. I confess it us a struggle at tines. I admire men like Mark Mallet and Charlie Johnson and others who have followed the example of the apostles above. I pray I can get to that point and soon. Gospel lk 5:1-11 While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening to the word of God, he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret. He saw two boats there alongside the lake; the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat. After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon said in reply, “Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets.” When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing. They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come to help them. They came and filled both boats so that the boats were in danger of sinking. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.” For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him and all those with him, and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners of Simon. Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him.
Hi Miker! I took off work today to get some things done around the acreage before winter sets in. I started my day going to Mass as well, and you are correct in the call to be 'fishers of men'. I think it is real important for us to examine our parental rolls in light of the signs of the times. I know the concerns we have as parents today, being a father of 11. We are not all called to be Charlie's, Mark's or John's who have been given a 'special' mission to the Church. We too have a mission and that is our own sanctification and that our helping our family and friends on the journey as well. While it might seem mundane (in light of the mystics), but it is the gift God has given us at this time. What is important, I think, is that we are always willing to do whatever God is asking of us. We will find this answer only in accepting the humilty of our daily life. If being mundane is God's calling to us, who are we to say no to it Today I had a great desire to pray for family members who need conversion, so I stayed after Mass to pray a rosary for this and will be cutting wood (after I get off this post) for the rest of the day, while in prayer. I have come to really appreciate the Flame of Love prayer of the Immacualte Heart of Mary.... so I will pray like this all day long 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed are thou amoungst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners, 'spread the effect of grace of thy Flame of Love for the conversion of my family', now and at the hour of death. Amen.
Mundane...the Mystical Experience Sounds special to me...Gods strongest warriors. May God bless you and your family. Brother al
Kathy K - Can you tell me where you read in Luisa's writing what you said above? I have read all 36 volumes, The Queen book and the Passion book several times and do not remember reading this. If you can find this in the Book of Heaven, please let me know where I can find it. God bless you.
It's a long story, but to make it short: About 20 yrs. ago, a year after coming into the Catholic Church and very hungry for learning about the mystical (I had many mystical experiences that I was trying to understand), I picked up a Catholic paper that had an ad for The Book of Heaven. Immediately upon reading the ad I knew I had to have the 2 books that were being offered (I should add that I asked Our Blessed Mother to never let me be mislead - that anything I read must be the truth). Just as I was reading the ad, a Nun friend of mine, who was also my spiritual director at the time, called me asking if I had heard anything about this mystic Luisa Piccarreta. I explained to her what had just happened, and getting off the phone I immediately ordered the books (so did she!). I could not get enough of reading them! These 2 volumes came from the translations of the five people that went to the Vatican and copied the volumes that were in the Vatican archives (by permission of Cardinal Ratzinger) and brought them back to the U.S. to be translated. After these 2 volumes that I received, I contacted Tom Fahy who over time made available everything that was in English. (Tom and his wife Kathy have become very good friends of ours over the years. He is a wonderful, humble man). About 10 years ago, I was able to obtain the translations of Marina who lived in Corato and knew the dialect of Luisa's. Padre Bucci visited us in Hanceville, AL (we were living just outside the gates of Mother Angelica's Monastery) and he told us that Marina's translations were the best to read. I have been reading and studying them for 20 years now. We have had several Divine Will prayer groups - both here in Knoxville and also several in Florida. It does not come without persecution! All for His Glory! I pray that many more people will come to know about The Book of Heaven - most especially the Passion Book which is most important. May all come to know about living in the Divine Will and desire to receive this great Gift that Our Lord offers to us just for the asking. May His Kingdom come soon! God love you.
