She's done her homework too. It's been awhile since I listened to this talk, but I believe she spent four or five years reading all the UN documents in order to understand what was happening at the Vatican. She does a great job and is worth listening to.
I was surprised at hearing Padre Pi's voice. With the beard and his sometimes stern actions I thought maybe a gruff voice. Instead of which it is quite gentle and I hear the echoes of great sufferings. A revelation. To hear the living voice of a saint is quite wonderful. I wish he were alive today; I would have so many questions to ask him about the current crisis in the Church. He is such a hero to me. But of course Padre Pio encountered many instances of terrible behaviour in his own life with high Church officials and senior members of his own order. He was never blind to it all. He was a Victim Soul in so many ways. Actually it was the intervention, the personal intervention, of Popes that saved him from the wolves that wanted to eat him. I doubt if he had been around today that any Pope would save him again. So sad.
It funny i just got done praying for strentgh and i open the forum and there is My Padre. I love him so much. I depend on him so much.Ii so needed to see this. There is a shrine in barto pennsylvania and i get oil there. As soon as im better i cant wait to go. Its more important than anything else. thank u so much for sharing.
I was there last summer. After her talk in the big chapel and everyone had filed out, I asked the speaker if she would bring the relic, one of Padre Pio’s gloves he actually wore, back out for close up photos. She disappeared, returned with the relic, and handed it to me!
Wow!! Beautiful picture Brain. There are not too many of those mitts going about now. I find it helpful at the present time to concentrate on all that is holy, positive and venerable and the lives of the saints, devotion to the angels and Our Blessed Lady lifts me far above the bog of misery that surrounds us on every side. It reminds me of the Scripture, 'But as for me and my house, we choose to follow the Lord'.
This is so sad... So much confusion...causing so much stress...for everyone. Our faith is everything.... Only certainty is our faith...God please work out the rest. We all want what’s right. Keep the devil out.
I would be a little careful with Taylor Marhsall. He is learned and entertaining but you would end up throwing yourslef out a window if you beleived everything he said. A bit over negative.
I've watched this movie twice and enjoy it thoroughly. It was produced by non-Catholics. It portrays no sacraments but is basically historically accurate. It is moving in its call to be willing to sacrifice one's life for the sake of the Gospel! St. Polycarp, pray for us!
Thanks. I might be able to find it on DirectTV on my iPhone. (I can access my sister’s account, but other than to catch an occasional episode of Last Man Standing, I don’t use it.)
