In our Diocese we are permitted only to receive in the hand and have been told if we attempt to receive on the tongue we will be put out of the Church. Please pray for our Bishop. Thankfully, our dear Lord in His goodness has us being moved to a new Diocese and home where we have a good Bishop who allows Holy Communion on the tongue. We will be moving in two weeks and are look so forward to it. Thank you Jesus and Mary!
I forgot to mention that I attended a Latin Mass because I was told we could receive on the tongue at that Parish, so I drove 50 minutes to the Church only to find out that the Bishop sent a letter to all Parishes in the Diocese who had Latin Mass stating that the Priests are NOT to allow Communion on the tongue! He also told the Priests that they were not to give Communion to the dying on the tongue - only in the hand. As the Priest at the Latin Mass stated in his Homily - just imagine trying to give a dying person Communion in the hand! So very sad!

The time between Saint Patrick's day and mid June was a time of no Eucharist for us. We started again in mid-June only to be told on July 13th that no indoor masses are allowed. Thankfully, we have switched to outdoor Masses, but only with face coverings and no singing. I decided that I will attend Mass as often as I can even if it means to take Our Lord into my hand because we truly do not know how long we have to do so. I am grateful to be able to receive Our Lord again. I took the sacraments and all the beautiful things in church for granted. I tear up just thinking about it.

It's certainly a time to count your Blessings. To be positive not negative ,as St Paul advises

There is a young Catholic gentleman in work who draws my attention at the moment. He is in his 30's married with a child.

He is Apostate, fallen away from the Faith. He blames it on clerical child abuse as of course they all do.

But recently in conversation I referred to the virus and all else that is going on in the World as a , 'Judgement from God', as a Tester to just to see how he would react.

Much to my surprise he gravely agreed with me.

I felt like saying that which Jesus said to Niccodemus,

'You are not far from the Kingdom of God'

There is Hope, there is always, always hope. You might have to look under bushes to find it; but find it you will.:):)

Is this a cross-country move, Lynne, or perhaps one closer to your children? I know that if in four years , the spiritual landscape is relatively mellow, we will move south into Pennsylvania to be close to our younger daughter's family.:)There are emotional ties to the family homestead, but all things in the worldly realm are only temporary.:cautious:

It is a move across the state to Nashville to be near our family. God’s Will be done!
