I strongly believe in this. Also look at St Joan of Arc. Everyone is different; God calls us to do different things. We have to be open to the call.
We have been given the Holy Spirit. Remember that after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the apostles were changed men.
David, if you could, please share your personal experiences on this forum. Witnessing like that would surely inspire many people.
I believe this to be true. At least 2 pre-conciliar popes insisted on exposing the satanic intentions and infiltration of the Freemasons into the Catholic Church by ordering that the Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita be published; that we may know what we are truly up against. However, with Pope John XXIII and Vatican II, Ostpolitik was declared and there was no more condemnation of Freemasonry. The third secret of Fatima was intended for release in 1960, exactly when this terrible turn of events was happening/ about to happen. We know that the secret was suppressed
IMO this was a major victory for those who wish to remake the Church and a defining moment. As well, this was a time of recognizing the secular worlds authority via agencies such as the UN and in turn diminishing that of the Pope and the Church. In the same vein, this sets the stage for the refining of the Faithful.
That was a terrible watershed moment for the Church. Terrible. But God permitted it and in a sense the /some hierarchy in the Church invited it in and we have been living with the chastisement ever since. The novel Vatican by Malachi Martin lays out what happened from the end of WWII going forward.
