God will judge according to His knowledge of our hearts, will, actions and knowledge. I have no doubt that He will be more merciful than most of us. I also believe that His judgement of our pride will be among the greatest of the sins of mankind. I bet that we are in for a few surprises
Regarding the words "very close", I saw this interesting comment on the following Medjugorje forum: http://www.medjugorjelive.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39750 : "It depends on your definition of the word "close". Its a matter of perspective. The comments of the visionaries all along have always suggested that the secrets would unfold "soon", but non-specific as to what measurement of earthly time this might be. "Close" to we who do not know the details of what is to come means next week, or next month. We are an impatient lot, much like a child a few days before Christmas. "Close" to us really means 'right now' because we can't wait to know. But for the visionaries who already know the stunning details of each of the secrets, and who surely think about them every day of their lives, "close" must mean 'in my lifetime'. Their perspective is radically different than ours. Think of it - if I know that I have to go for open heart surgery one year from today, to me that is CLOSE. My perception is that the dreaded surgery is right around the corner, and I am constantly fixated on the small amount of time remaining until zero hour. Even Fr. Petar commented in 2008: “I do have a sense and a feeling that this may come very, very soon, but I really don’t want to speculate or tell dates about it." The visionaries know that they are now 30 odd years closer to the unfolding of the secrets than when this all first started. Regardless of how much time is left, to them it must appear as if the secrets are almost right on top of them. Is 2017 significant because it is the 100th anniversary of Fatima? For those of us who can only watch and pray, we don't have long to wait to find out."
I'm firmly believing we are close and the fuse has been lit on the powder keg called The Storm. If Planet Earth manages to stumble through 2017 without Major Natural/Human Catastrophes, I will be very surprised and so will many credible religious seers, prophets and prognosticators along with their secular financial-n-political guru ilk! I personally Hope-n-Pray that Earth bumbles along till I'm in the grave but I'm planning/preparing on doing my part... whatever that is? ... in case all of those Seers/Gurus are NOT wrong. GOD SAVE ALL HERE!! PS: If 2017 comes & goes in relative peace, it means we will all have to do a MAJOR re-think about many things
