I found it deeply disturbing when I discovered that physicians were getting revenue from the jabs. Both my daughter and I had numerous negative encounters at appointments with my grandson's healthcare providers when we refused to allow the jab. At the time we had no clue that there was a financial incentive for getting patients vaccinated.

Yes, they would rather live on an alternate reality, and when the new booster comes, they would even continue that reality...

The anti-vaccine movement is on the rise. The White House is at a loss over what to do about it.
“They keep just hoping it’ll go away.”

A Biden administration that vowed to restore Americans’ faith in public health has grown increasingly paralyzed over how to combat the resurgence in vaccine skepticism.

And internally, aides and advisers concede there is no comprehensive plan for countering a movement that’s steadily expanded its influence on the president’s watch.

The rising appeal of anti-vaccine activism has been underscored by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s insurgent presidential campaign and fueled by prominent factions of the GOP. The mainstreaming of a once-fringe movement has horrified federal health officials, who blame it for seeding dangerous conspiracy theories and bolstering a Covid-era backlash to the nation’s broader public health practices.

But as President Joe Biden ramps up a reelection campaign centered on his vision for a post-pandemic America, there’s little interest among his aides in courting a high-profile vaccine fight — and even less certainty of how to win.

There’s a real challenge here,” said one senior official who’s worked on the Covid response and was granted anonymity to speak candidly. “But they keep just hoping it’ll go away.”

The White House’s reticence is compounded by legal and practical concerns that have cut off key avenues for repelling the anti-vaccine movement, according to interviews with eight current and former administration officials and others close to the process.

Biden officials have felt handcuffed for the past two years by a Republican lawsuit over the administration’s initial attempt to clamp down on anti-vaxxers, who alleged the White House violated the First Amendment in encouraging social media companies to crack down on anti-vaccine posts. That suit, they believe, has limited their ability to police disinformation online. In addition, Congress is clawing back Covid funds once earmarked for vaccine education and outreach. And Biden himself has opted to largely ignore Kennedy’s campaign, concluding there’s no political benefit to engaging with the increasingly longshot challenger or his conspiratorial views.

The approach has given conservative influencers and lawmakers who have embraced Kennedy and other vaccine skeptics more space to promote their views and tout themselves as free speech warriors doing battle against the Biden administration.

And the impact is clear: As another Covid vaccination campaign gets underway, fewer Americans than ever have kept up to date on their shots. Child vaccination rates against the flu are measurably lower than before the pandemic. Even standard childhood inoculations to prevent diseases like the measles are subject to deepening partisan divisions, with recent polling showing Republicans are now more than twice as likely to believe the shots should be optional than they did in 2019. Democrats, by contrast, remain overwhelmingly in favor of childhood vaccine requirements.

“We can see a long-term future where kids aren’t going to get vaccinated in schools, diseases that we once thought had ended will roar back and kids will get sick and die from 100 percent preventable conditions,” said Lawrence Gostin, a Georgetown University public health professor who has advised the White House. “This will cost lives in the long term.”

Anti-vaccine sentiment isn’t new: In 2019, the U.S. reported the most measles cases in 27 years, an outbreak fueled by unvaccinated communities in parts of New York, California and Oregon. But its appeal was turbocharged by the pandemic, where political opposition to the Covid vaccines has melded in some corners with broader skepticism of immunizations as a whole.

I really think our Angel Guardians had a great, great part to play in all this.We as individuals have angels guardians certainly. But there are also Guardian Angels of families (especially large families). Angels guardians of Town, cities, states and Nations.

The people who were most resistant to the jab I think were those who tended to be the most religious. People who lead a good prayer life are open to their Guardian Angels promptings. I felt that so much myself during the great confusion around all this nonsense. Just about the masks and jabs a feeling of looming danger and foreboding as though a voice were whispering in my ear, 'For goodness sake don't do this!' The voice of my angel guardian.

I think many, many people heard the voice of their Guardian Angels during that time and still now.

Another heart warming theme was just simply very good and courageous people who stood up and told the truth , no matter what, Scientists, Doctors, Nurses, Politicians, Priests, journalists ect who simply got up on their hind legs and said a loud , 'No!' I'm not supporting this awful thing!'

Best of all those brave very ordinary men and women who risked everything to take a stand, I think especially here of the brave truckers in Canada who risked their all.

I will always remember visiting my oldest friend Anthony' home in Dublin. I have know him for 52 years now, since we were 16. He is a very good Catholic and taught religion in school all his life, so he knows a thing about the Faith.

But I will never forget his look of total horror when he asked me how recently I had took my booster jab and I told him I had not taken one at all. For a sinking instant I was convinced he was going to order me from his home.

But he is a good Catholic and lets us face it many, many good Catholics bought into this awful muck. Still do.

May God have mercy and pity on them all.

was he in horror because he thinks you could die from covid or because he let an unvaccinated man into his house?

It was long inculcated within Catholicism to obey authority. This was a very good thing when authority was rightful and itself obedient to Authority. However, things have changed and obedience is now not always the right thing. But, it can be difficult to shake off the old habit. For myself, I initially went through quite a few hoops trying to convince myself that Bergoglio was not the piece of work that he obviously is, because it was difficult for me to come to terms that the Pope, of all people, was not a good man.

They shouldn't have lied, obfuscated. Intimidated and in some cases ruined people's lives. First about the virus and then about the vax. People are rightly skeptical and suspicious. Public trust in the medical establishment and its government agencies will not be easily restored.

I think too it was force of habit. It was a long time since the Church was saddled with a Bad Pope. Folks just assumed that any Pope would be more than something of a genius and certainly a Saint. Even now I think most people assume that Pope Francis must be a saint and a truly wise man..why?..well simply because he is Pope.

It is a bit like a person who lives in a very loving good family and leaves home for the big city. The person has a natural innocence and just assumes that the whole world is just like his family. Then a huge, huge shock sinks home that the World is not like that, that there really is such a thing as evil, selfish people.

I recall one time being asked to help out with a bus load of young people on the way to deep Southern Ireland on a pilgrimage. On the way down we stopped into a Religious house and met a priest I knew. Afterwards the person who led the pilgrimage was very ,very angry at me for introducing the young ones to the priest. I asked him why and he told me the priest was totally drunk. I honestly did not know the priest was drunk because I was so innocent I could not imagine a priest being in such a state. I simply did not see it because I never thought such a thing was possible. Everyone else could see the state the poor priest was in at once. But for myself I totally missed it.

I think for many, many people it is the same kind of thing with Pope Francis. A kind of innocence to the existence of real evil.

To be honest with you, Rosalia, it remains something of a Mystery to me much that is going on in the World and in the Church at the moment. If it were just a matter of good people going against evil people, why that would be one thing. But very often it is matter of very, good, holy and wise people opposing very, good. holy and wise people. Also very bad and evil people opposing very bad and evil people. If it were simply the good against the bad all would be clear.

Looking at things at the moment reminds me of staring in the window of a washing machine and seeing everything swirling about the place.:) There often seems to be no sense to it all.

But these are the times when prayer is such a blessing. In God everything makes perfect sense. God is neither confused nor confusing.

God is like beautiful peaceful music.

John-Henry Westen recently said something on this. He said that he thought the prophecy of bishop against bishop had always meant bad bishops against good bishops, but that it had come to to him recently that it meant good bishops against good bishops and good people against good people. He gave many cases of this and you can see it everywhere.
