Brian 100 percent correct. Absolute absurdity to think that the TLM could be abrogated. It is literally an impossibility. Malachi Martin had a great discussion years ago on the firing line with William Buckley blew the whole suggestion out of the water in the 80s

Those who reject our Holy Father the Pope reject the Holy Catholic Faith.

    May there be no doubts..

    Reject the Pope.##

    Reject the Faith.

    How could it be otherwise?

How could you reject the Pope and yet still claim to be Catholic?

But what if (hypothetically) the pope himself somehow rejects the Faith?

What “obedience” is owed to a pope when “even the little ones” can see his error?

The anchor is Peter. We will however not be simpletons. The TLM cannot be touched at all. Every action of the TLM is a physical manifestation in the world of the Truths of the Catholic faith. It is the most beautiful and highest expression of the Faith

The electing Cardinals crowned him, the Bishops of the world accepting him..

    Yes.

But again - what if (hypothetically) the pope himself somehow rejects the Faith?

What “obedience” is owed to a pope when “even the little ones” can see his error?

Yes. We cannot as Catholics allow this to be undermined
However, making a wee distinction on the bounds of the power of the authority granted the Petrine Office is always good

Yes, to even suggest such is a gross error, probably the biggest one that’s been swallowed by the post VII Church.

If under this pope, the liberal Archbishop Roche promulgates a mass that is invalid, while suppressing the Mass of All Ages, then will you answer my question?

You’re setting readers up to unquestioningly obey and follow a pope who has already proposed material, and some experts would say formal and quite well documented, heresy.

And refusing to allow anyone to question what he does?

Just whose shoulder is the devil sitting on in this conversation?

Speaking hypothetically (of course), what would be the situation (if it ever arose) where the strict and clear rules laid down by Pope John Paul II for Papal elections in the document 'Universi Dominici Gregis' were violated, perhaps in the matter of prohibited canvassing, would the beneficiary of the affected election be a valid Pope? And do you think that God might arrange it (if such an event ever occurred) that another (perhaps a retired and properly elected Pope) might live on to ensure that the continuity of Jesus' promise regarding the 'rock' and might continue to be the true office holder (even if not generally recognised as such and not exercising the relevant powers)?
