"..... there's no point because people who trot out the same excuses as Janet will swallow anything that carries the "mercy" label. "

Have you anything against mercy? No... then why speak against it? Try reading some of the posts I've posted in here in order for you to get a TRUE perspective of this Pope. If you continue reading untruth then you only have yourself to blame for ending up in the 'briars' If this pope were haughty and proud..acted like the priests in Jesus' time (Matt 23) you would have cause to criticise him...but you haven't Dolours. No cause at all. You admitted to being swayed by the media..so I pray you 'sway' now the other way and come back before it's too late. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.

.".. There's absolutely no doubt that the confusion that's rife in the Church stems from the Pope."

"I get no pleasure from saying that. It leaves me with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach but I'm not going to pretend that all's well when it is far from well and getting worse."

If you were right about the Pope God would give you peace, as it is you are wrong and feeling the unsettling that does not come from God but His enemy.

    God Bless you.

Nothings changed Brian. It is the same as it was under Pope Benedict...He also thought there could be solutions to those extreme cases. He then pointed 'the way' to the internal forum with a good confessor. He knew it needed a way forward. I've posted on this in here somewhere. Think about this...someone in those circumstances who is seeking to do the Will of God are the only ones who will avail themselves of this route.

Brian again? Didn't he melodramatically post that he was leaving the forum? I guess that bit of information he posted couldn't be believed either.

Spot on. Through prayer over the past couple of years I've been led to the truth that despite what my brilliant mind dreams up and despite the fear uncertainty and doubt whispers that old skinny legs trys to stick in my ear that the simple Truth is that God has a plan and Pope Francis is carrying it out.

Love. It's as simple as that. I think I'll choose to stick with God and what His plan is and reject being taken out of the safety of the boat by the whispers and fear being sown by the evil one.

Trust God. He has a plan.

Mac, it would be more genuine if you admitted your sspx ties.

Then your arguments would make more sense.

Yep, and I was unsettled as well early on in Francis' Papacy, but then I decided to turn it to prayer. And God showed me He has a plan, so I trust Him, not the evil one's whispers and lies and not what my mind thinks. Love.

Really? You were provided numerous links that listed the objections, along with the link to the program itself... don't be accusing others of not giving the "info you had be asking for."

You are missing the point. Of course there is no objection when Pope Francis speaks to the Traditions of our faith. Bringing up orthodox quotes form the past does not negate the questionable ones however... as much as you would like to insist that it does.

I wasn't accusing anyone other than myself Frodo. This was the point of my post.

" You can use this as a good example of someone who didn't search out the full truth before opening her mouth...ME.."

    Come now Janet...

    You forgot the second line:

    The word BUT
negates or cancels everything that goes before it.

    You had the "whole truth"..

Not exactly the way to own up to mistakes.

I'm glad to hear there is no objection when Francis speaks about the Faith. :) He said....Confess the Faith all of it, not part of it! Safeguard this faith, as it came to us, by way of tradition: the whole Faith!,”

The Pope exclaimed. “The man or woman who has faith relies on God: entrusts himself or herself to Him! Trusting in God is what leads us to hope. Just as the confession of faith leads us to the worship and praise of God, so trust in God leads us to an attitude of hope.”

Many Christians, the Pope said, suffer from “a hope too watered down, not strong: a faint hope, they do not have the strength and the courage to trust in the Lord. But if we Christians believe confessing the faith, and safeguarding it, taking custody of the faith, and, entrusting ourselves to God, to the Lord, we shall be Christian victors. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.” (Plenary assembly of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue)

I can't find any questionable ones Frodo.

    Sigh...

Then you are only seeing the "half truths" again.
