Oh Jimmy...not sure what to say...maybe one of my stories from Medj will help you:

While in Medj, I never saw the sun spin, or any supernatural event in the sky. But, I'd be sitting in the group, and people to the left of me started marveling at the sun...pointing...look at the sun...it's spinning...dancing...look at the colors...how amazing! I'd look up and would have to look away immediately, as it was blinding. I'd try to look again, but just the bright, normal sun. So, groups of people around me could see it, but me and a few others could not. That happened again, and again, and again for my 10 days there...people to the left of me, right of me, and all around me seeing a show put on from Heaven in the sky and I didn't seem to have an admission ticket to the show. Why is that? We were all looking at the same sun in the same conditions and my eyes are not extra sensitive to light or anything like that.

The reason why Jimmy, is because before I left for Medj, I prayed to God that I would not see the sun spin. The reason for my pilgrimage to Medj was to pray for a close family member who is atheist. I asked God to save all the supernatural signs for him, for that will help him believe in God. I already believe in God, so there is no reason for me to see anything supernatural. The first part of my prayers were answered in Medj, because I did not see the sun spin, even though people around me could. I am confident my atheist family member WILL see the sun spin or something even more dramatic when he is ready for that grace. It's been 10 years and he's still atheist and hasn't had the grace of seeing the sun spin yet. But I know God heard my prayers and he will receive that grace in God's time.

Anyway, I doubt there is a scientific reason for two people sitting next to each other seeing 2 completely different suns in the sky. Maybe what you saw was not supernatural, and the conditions were just right for you to see what you saw. But, you had just vented a bit that you never get a knock you over type of religious experience...you go outside...God provides one for you and you are very excited about it...and then you lose a bit of faith and begin to doubt. It's tough Jimmy I know...but I suggest pondering it in your heart as opposed to googling it for an explanation. I just think the odds are very low that after your post about complaining that supernatural signs do not happen to you and you go outside and see the sun doing supernatural things and it just happens to be because the conditions just happen to be right for this to happen!!

The phenomenon I experienced at Lubbock I did not in Medjugorje. I have tested it many times on the drive home when the sun is setting in the direction I'm driving. And I'm still amazed at the lack of after images I experienced in Lubbock, everything was golden. There's always an after image when looking at a bright light or the sun. That's pretty much the only phenomenon I've ever experienced before and since. I try not to over analyze and just accept these gifts. And I do know eyes ;)

    God Bless!

At Mother Cabrini Shrine outside of Golden, Colorado I witnessed the miracle of the sun. In my case, it seemed like a silver plate was covering the main part of sun and glorious rays were coming out from it. There were many believers gathered. Some saw the Blessed Mother and one man said he saw Jesus. Later that night, headlights appeared to have a pink hue. On a different occasion a friend and I were standing talking to someone holding a pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that had traveled all throughout Central America and we both experienced the beautiful scent of roses coming from the image.

You make great points Cathy. It does seem too peculiar that it all happened the way it did for it to be just completely natural especially since I looked at sun no more than 10 minutes earlier and saw nothing and even had contempt that it could happen. Maybe there are some natural effects involved but God works through nature. What is that line? Grace works on nature? Something like that. Why would I see it then and no other time? Also, when I saw it I wasn't really looking for it. It wasn't like I was staring at the sun waiting for something to happen. I do admit that the sun miracle that Kathy spoke of was fresh on my mind though. I just looked up through the trees and saw something strange happening with the sun. It wasn't even in clear view. I could only see a part of it. I remember thinking what the heck is that and moved to a clearing and then bam!!! Woah!! What is happening? I guess it seemed too obvious. Like you said, I had just been complaining about nothing supernatural and then this.

Another thing I noticed that was so beautiful during it besides the sun looking like it was bouncing or dancing real fast in a small box (without the outline of the box) and a look of spinning and pulsating at different times was a very beautiful color display surrounding the sun. Not the whole sky just a little ways outside the sun area but not the sun itself. I saw these beautiful colors (pink stood out the most) in the very thin clouds pulsating like a heart beating even though it wasn't formed like a heart. It was amazing actually. I suppose scientists could explain it as they try and explain away any miracle and as they did in that article but as Cathy says, it was just all to peculiar in the way that it happened for it to be nothing more than a natural occurrence. I will just stop analyzing it and see where God brings me in conjunction with this event.

Interesting Mary Ann. Three of us now have spoken of seeing this pink hue in white areas throughout the rest of the day after the event happened. Do you think that could mean that our retinas were in an overly stimulated stage from looking at the sun or something else? I wonder why pink.

An after image is usually the opposite color of the color you are looking at. So if you stare at one color for a period when you look away you'll see the complementary color. I need to get the color wheel out! I'm sure we're going to be seeing much greater things soon! Hopefully. :)

    God Bless!
