Not the False Prophet from the Bible. The FP could be a Bishop. Bishop Fulton Sheen said that's a possibility. It won't be a Pope. Judas wasn't Peter.

Anyway, Pope Francis is an old man and the gospel hasn't yet been preached to the end of the earth, meaning the full complement of gentiles hasn't been received into the Church. That must happen before the mass conversion of the Jews. We know for definite that the conversion of the Jews and the appearance of the False Prophet followed by the Antichrist will all happen before Jesus returns. But none of them will happen before the full complement of gentiles has been converted. That could take quite a few years and is unlikely to happen during the lifetime of 85 year Old Pope Francis.

He's the Pope. His world view has been influenced by his experiences in Argentina. He probably thinks that he is a great Pope, doing what he believes his predecessors should have done. Other than what he hears from Jesuits and the European/American Bishops and lay sycophants close to him, he has no idea what life is like for faithful Catholics outside Argentina - the Catholics he clearly despises and blames for causing or tolerating poverty in underdeveloped countries.

Those Bishops and Jesuits couldn't care less about the poor in any country but will gladly pay lip service to his supposed concern for the poor if it gets them whatever it takes to keep them in the good books of the secular powers wherever they are. For the Church that means tacit endorsement of contraception, abortion, fornication, adultery, women priests and married priests. The cherry on top for them will be married homosexual priests. God will put a stop to it eventually. Meanwhile a lot of people will suffer, especially faithful priests and Bishops. We need to pray for him and them.

I sort of think man will not know when the “full complement of gentiles will be converted” which is why no one but God will know when the 2nd coming will occur

I think you are right about that, but we should have a fair idea of when the Gospel has been preached to the ends of the earth. We won't know the day or hour of the second coming. We should be able to read the signs of the times, the conversion of the Jews being one such sign.

Which ends of the earth haven't been introduced to Christianity yet?

As we know this isn't about the virus, an exercise inraw power, it's about control. Controling/coercing us to do what the elite want. Also TPTB know it is not effective, nevertheless they calm the fears of some people into thinking that this will help. As you say, in the meantime these useless rags are causing other problems to people with respiratory problems.

Far too many doctors believe that it is helpful. So they push it.

Perhaps small enclaves of Latin America, and I would say that since most of the West has now turned to paganism, and in some cases restriction of Christianity, I would say that the West needs evangelization as well as the others.

I'm sorry, Padraig. Wasn't my intent to cause problems. I'll refrain from posting these kinds of stories in the future.

Sigh. I can't really blame you Richard, really, these are very ,very difficult times.

But at least we have Our Lady's promise that things will all work out fine and better than ever in the end.:)

I watched the most incredible story of a Greek Orthodox recent saint, Saint Paisios this afternoon. It reminds me Padre Pio.
