The rosary marathon for May 27th is from the Sanctuary of the Mother of God icon in Zarvanytsia, Ukraine with the intention to pray for all the unemployed. The icon of the Mother of God has a miraculous origin. A monk who earnestly prayed for protection of the land from invaders in the year 1240 fell asleep after the prayers. As he slept, he dreamed of the Virgin Mary appearing to him with two angels holding white lilies. The holy Mother blessed the monk and touched him with her mantle. After awaking, the monk saw a beautiful valley surrounded by a wreath of dense forest. Suddenly a spring of clear water shone in the dewy grass, and above it, the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus in her arms illuminated the area. The monk fell to his knees and prayed while bathing his wounds in the spring. Soon his strength returned to him, and in honor of this miracle, the monk built a cell in a cave and placed the icon there. Now it is enshrined in Zarvanytsia.

The rosary marathon for May 28th is from the Chapel of Mercy to honor the Black Madonna of Altötting in Altötting, Germany to pray for the popes, bishops, priests, and deacons. The statue of the Virgin Mary of Altötting was carved in about the year 1330. The statue of Madonna and Child came to Altötting via the Raitenhaslach Cistercian monastery. In her left hand, Mary holds a scepter with a lily blossom as a sign of her virginity. The Child Jesus rests on her right arm and carries a celestial sphere representing the omnipotence of God.

Yes, a very good contributor of Catholic information. Provided lots of good sources. Well, perhaps after a break she will return, and others as well, I miss Carol55 a lot and Fatima, and many others.

Kind of insulting, Padraig. Christy implies a woman. She had asked prayers for her husband who had vision problems.

Apologies, I missed this. Insults are deliberate, not accidents. Accidents are accidents.

I thought she was a he too.

Christy can be both a male and a female name.

    2 Timothy 2:19

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”

I wonder if she was Secret Service?

They tend to know more than the rest of us about goings on in the Presidential family. Perhaps a Catholic?.

If so, especially if she had any dealings with Hunter, no wonder she looks gob smacked.

The last day of the rosary marathon, May 31st, the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is from the Vatican Gardens in the presence of the painting of Our Lady Untier of knots which originally is from Augsburg, Germany. The intentions are for the Virgin Mary to untie five knots. The first knot is the wounded way people relate to one another since the beginning of Covid 19, the second knot is unemployment, the third knot is violence committed against each other, the fourth knot is for healing the sick and the fifth knot is for the Catholic Church to regain trust of her members and to lead the world to Jesus.

At the conclusion of the celebration on Monday evening, Pope Francis will solemnly crown the image of Mary, Untier of Knots.

I will not be posting the video. May God bless us and keep us. Out of all the days of the marathon (I didn't view all of the Shrines maybe only 1/3), I thought that the people of Elele, Nigeria prayed the rosary with the greatest love and devotion. Also, I liked how at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, they had different people for each of the prayers of the rosary and after each person completed their prayer, they offered a rose to the Virgin Mary and placed them in vases. It was lovely.

Tomorrow is the first day of the month of Our Lady. I was inspired to post this photo as a reminder of the rosary marathon led by Pope Francis last year that concluded with the Crowning of Our Lady Untier of Knots in the Vatican gardens. We can do the same this year, a marathon in May for Our Lady's intentions.
