Pope says he wants to meet Putin

This has happened to me more times than I can count.

 

I am in doubt if the pope will be able to travel So soon since this Thursday the image of him in a wheelchair toured the world.

It's good to have some good news

 

Maybe it will be Pope Benedict visiting Moscow.

 

I read someplace a while back that he is living a quiet priest life in the diocese of Krk- one of Croatian islands.

 

but he seems to be even more debilitated at least in 2018 it was reported that he was using a wheelchair.

 

A victim soul.

I doubt if he will be Pope..

God has other plans.

 

If you read further down that Guardian article, Madonna would probably think she's much more important and ought to be the one travelling to Moscow after she's told the Pope a thing or two. Such astonishing arrogance.

 

I think of the words from scripture: "And God laughs." Poor woman. She has no idea of what arrogance she projects. May God have mercy on her. And all of her ilk.

 

Madonna was born and raised in a Catholic family. Sigh. The devil is having a ball with so many fallen Roman Catholics on the world stage.

To whom much is given, more is expected. The higher you are, the further you have to fall.

 

A lot of it has to do with the bad nuns who educate these women in the Faith.

 

Something relevant that I was thinking today is that Putin would prefer to start a war with NATO in the winter for the strategic advantage of that in case Russia is invaded (see the defeat of Napoleon and Hitler because of the harsh Russian winter) however Pope Francis probably wouldn't I would travel to Russia in the winter because if even Western Europe is not used to the harsh Russian winter then imagine in the case of a Latin American pope.

I'm not sure how to reconcile these hypotheses; maybe it is nato that makes a decisive move to cause an escalation with Russia before the dreaded Russian winter?

 

Based mostly on what I’ve read, the weather was far less a factor in Putin’s decision to invade the Ukraine last February because he presumably expected nominal armed resistance—that Russian troops would largely be welcomed with open arms. Recall how he managed to seize Ukrainian territory in the past without triggering major regional conflict. As for Pope Francis’ and his possible trip to Russia, the main stumbling block appears to be the inability to secure permission or an invitation from the proper authorities, whether religious or political.

 

I would be utterly surprised, and for that to happen would be a shocking twist to events now unfolding! But my gut feeling is that Pope Francis will make that trip in what will probably be a last ditch attempt to prevent all-out regional war…..

 

It is Pope Emeritus Benedict. He is not the Pope.

 

We shall see what happens soon enough. Currently, I’m just going with my gut feeling until it’s proven wrong or right.

 

Right, Pope Francis has not been invited yet.

 

I’m beginning to think that some of the recent statements reportedly from Pope Francis that are critical of NATO are meant to influence Russia into approving his proposed visit there. We are simply not in a position to judge anyone’s words and actions based merely on face value….
