Pope Francis has said on more than one occasion we need to make a mess. We have to agree he has surely done that. The God of surprises has given us a Pope of surprises, problem is they stink.

The Curia should appoint a pooper scooper to follow our beloved Holy Father around clearing up the trail of poop he leaves in his path. Bless him

Look on the bright side. If the Pope and Martin Luther are right, the Jesuits are obsolete. Every cloud has a silver lining.

It really is a great video. I was thinking while watching it that before my conversion had I ever been prompted to read Luther's writings I would have become a catholic MUCH earlier in life. There's a reason I was never prompted by my friends or pastors to read him. It's much easier to digest hollywoods white wash of his "teachings" and justifications for leaving the Church.

It may surprise people to hear that Pope Francis was not the first cleric to use the phrase "God of surprises". Sometimes certain dots that need connecting are well hidden in obscure places...

    From a homily given on December 9, 2006 ~ St. FXU ~

"I mention these things simply as illustrations that our God is a God of surprises; that the very nature of God means that we cannot fathom God’s breadth and God’s depths, and that we cannot predict or prescribe the ways in which God will act in our world. Rudolf Otto, a German theologian, wrote in 1911 that humans can only stand before God in an attitude of awe, and that attitude means that we must always allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by the beauty, the might, and the love that are attributes of God, and allow ourselves also to be surprised by the action of God in the world that is God’s own creation."
