This is what impressed me when I watched this video about Fr. Ripperger's Dolorans Order. That is their complete dependence on Our Lady and their docility and humility. And their carefreeness knowing that they accept whatever Our Lady has in store for them, their trust that She will not let them down. You can go to 25:40 to see an example of this. In fact this priest says, "we are her slaves", which is the classic De Montfordian spirituality.
Yes impressive and most unusual. I take it their Charism is a gift for our times. An Order of Exorcists. I never heard of such a thing before. It is noticeable how holy recent Exorcists are inclined to be. I noticed Farther Amorth's teacher and Spiritual Director a Pauline Priest was declared Blessed. Very holy men. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Alberione
OK, let's consider the reasonableness of Pope Francis' logic. Being homosexual isn't a crime. TRUE. It's a human condition. (TRUE, same-sex attraction can be a reality; if so, one must resist acting it out, so as to avoid sinful acts.) We are all children of God. (TRUE, in the sense that everyone is created in God's image, but not true in regard to the Church, which we enter through faith and baptism.) This is the first point of blurring issues. God loves us as we are. TRUE, but God must punish sinful behavior. To claim that homosexual behavior is not liable to God's judgment is a lie. The Pope desires to not classify homosexuality as a crime, and then claims that showing a lack of charity is a sin, and asks, "What about that?" This question confuses the issue. The question of criminality is irrelevant to the issue of sin and in my opinion is a smoke screen. (For instance, Jesus tells the woman involved in adultery, "Go, and sin no more.") Sin requires repentance. Homosexual behavior is a sin and must be repented of, and avoided. If the woman in John 8 had been caught in the act of homosexual behavior, Christ would have said the same thing: "Go and sin no more." [In this Jesus is actually showing charity as an adjunct to Mercy!] Conclusion: Pope Francis injects the question of criminality as a smoke screen so as to avoid answering the question. How should the Church respond to one who deliberately engages in homosexual acts: REPENT!
To express this rebuke of Pope Francis in a more positive manner, instead of the Pope producing smoke screens: Dear Pope Francis, remember the 3rd Spiritual Work of Mercy, Admonish the sinner!
Does God love us as we are? The idea of the unconditional love of God seems to me to be a modernist heresy. How can one explain these Scriptures if God's love is unconditional? In Jeremiah 16:5, God says, "I have withdrawn my blessing, my love, and my pity from this people." In Hosea 1:6, the Lord says, "I will no longer show love to the house of Israel, that I should at all forgive them." Again, in Hosea 9:15, "Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious."
That surely is a very, very insightful and completely accurate analysis. Thankyou. The next query though has to be, 'why'? What is there to be gained personally by this very old man, with his engaging in this overtly anti-of-Christ behaviour? - and he obviously with not a lot of time left in this world. Whilst in addition, he is also elevated to perhaps the greatest public position the world knows. A position I might add, whence he has knowledge and is privvy to the inner workings of the spiritual world? He can go read the 3rd secret. He can speak with any and all exorcists. He has access to any visionary or seer! I just don't get it. What am I missing? Why???!? Oh Francis!!
PF is an enigma. The greatest physchologists on the earth could never plum his depths. A man who is that is hard to understand is indeed a mysterious creature.
Pope Francis in many respects reminds me of a very angry teenager who has turned to hating his parents , in this case the Church. This ties in with his own parents stopping talking to him and rejecting him from a very young age. But I wouldn't be too interested in reading the tea leaves about pure evil.bAt the end of the day evil, like goodness is a matter of choice. He is the way he is because he chooses to be. I am not really interested in how he got to be the way he is. It is what it is. Most people, even very good people wouldn't recognise an evil person for what they are if they punched them on the nose.
God rescued me from a life of self-absorption. God can rescue Francis. All it takes is one cry for help! Matthew 14:30 But seeing the wind strong, he was afraid: and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying: Lord, save me.
It's amazing to me how a person can go all the way up to the head of the Catholic Church in spiritual blindness. So was PF ever really converted, and then fall back? Or did he just feel the call, go through all the studies and disciplines and years of service to make it where he is in a state of spiritual blindness? It's really hard for me to understand how he could NOT realize that he is going against the teachings of Christ and causing confusion and scandal. I tend to think he knows EXACTLY what he is doing, and working for old smokey legs. Still praying for him though....
