Thank you for correcting me. I was wrong in thinking the thread was speaking about "unions". I personally see no problem with any priest or Bishop blessing any individuals. However scandal must be avoided in doing so by making sure that any blessing can not be interpreted as blessing thier relationships or behavior. Christ ate with prostitutes and sinners, but was clear he did not condone their sin.
