I can't remember where I read this but when Jesus was in the garden and he saw the sins of the world. Meaning he saw mankinds sin (each and every sin) that would be committed til the end of time. I can only imagine that the sins in this particular century caused him so much grief. Abortion, homosexuality, all the perversions and atheism and all the lukewarmness. Especially the souls that reject his goodness. Then I understood why he sweated blood.

I like to meditate on just sitting in the Garden with him, keeping Him company. Often that's all you can do, isn't it? Some suffering is so great we can't even touch the surface with words...

I like to kneel there with him too Padraig, and I thank him on behalf of all the abused children for what he is about to do. I like to think that he draws strength when he thinks of them and knows how much he is indeed loved and appreciated. It is His love alone that heals these wounds..
