I think one of the Signs of the End Times has always been taken is that, 'The Gospel shall have been preached throughout the Earth'. I guess it is fair to say that nowadays this Sign is fulfilled, most especially in the age of the Internet. So the Gentiles, the Pagans have had a chance to hear the Gospel and either accept or reject it. But I have been thinking mostly recently about Our Holy Mother the Church and what is going on there at the moment. It seems to me that what is happening during this Mass Apostasy, led I have to say by our Current Peter and his fellow Apostles is very similiar to what happened at the time of Jesus; John 1:11 …10He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. 11He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—… At the time of Jesus of course when the Jews refused to accept the Saviour of the World God turned to the Gentiles. THe Jews had their chance and they bombed: Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. Now that Our Holy Mother the Church in the Person of Peter (Our Holy Father the Pope) and the Apostles (in the person of the Cardinals) is rejecting the Gospel and so Jesus Himself, Scriptural (and other current Catholic Prophecy) indicates He will turn again to His own. The Chosen people. This is exactly the same as when the High Priest and the Sandhedrin, those who then sat on the Chair of Moses rejected Jesus. The instrument for this will be the 'Great Sign in the Sky', the Illumination of Conscience. After this the Converted Jews will lead the Church,as originally intended by the Good Lord.

Also we can see that at the time of the First Rejection of Christ by the Jews Mary represented the Faithful Remnant. So as Our Holy Mother the Church rejects Christ in the person of Peter.
