I experienced something similar to this year's ago while praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. A huge cross coming from the moon. My young daughter who was praying with me witnessed it. I just took it as a sign that God is pleased with this wonderful Chaplet He gave us through St. Faustina. St. Benedict is a great saint of the Catholic Church Maybe you need to just pray on where you need to be?
WOW, now THAT is remarkable!! What a gift you were given....I am so glad you took a photo!! Thank you for sharing.
Ed i went to bed too early to see the moon. I am in New England so I might have been able to see it. On the other hand maybe it was just for you. Jesus is always calling us back. In these times it is so very important to stay close to him. As painful and humiliating as it was to not enter the Episcopal priesthood it well may be that God has an entirely different road for you to travel. Fr Wilfred Stinnison known in his life as the bacon priest because of feeding the poor has a book about abandonment to God. It is a thin little book but so profound. It is challenging g because basically we want our own way even though we dress it up in pretty clothes (so to speak) but God wants our best good and He is so patient with us. I think the comfort and wisdom you need is waiting in Eucharistic Adoration. Go spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Tell Him your joys and tell Him your sorrows. And then listen. If He speaks to you thank Him and if He doesn’t speak to you thank Him.(I took this directly from the Blessed Mother’s words to St Catherine Laboure.) I am putting you on my prayer list! (Btw another excellent book is He and I by Gabrielle Bossis . She was also involved in the theater. A wonderful book for prayerful meditation.) God bless.
What a coincidence! I am currently travelling throughout Germany and I just downloaded this book last night to read while on my vacation. Heading to Poland tomorrow
You lucky duck. Are you going to the Divine Mercy shrine? I was planning to go to the Divine Mercy shrine and as soon as I started checking flights the Ryanair strikes scuppered my plans because they're the only airline I could find with direct flights to Krakow.
I hope that Andy is ok because I haven't seen him post in awhile. I actually didn't realize how long it has been since he has posted until this thread of his was bumped today. He hasn't been on the forum since December. I do miss his posts and I hope that he will return soon.
Hope you'll put in a little word for us while you're there. And make sure to share your experience with us when you're back home. May God bless and protect you on your travels.
Speaking of the Divine Mercy Shrine....ever considered going to the Philippines? Boy do they EVER have a Shrine, certainly not the original! The radiant beams form stairs on either side and lead up to a very special Adoration Chapel located of course where His heart would be.
I'd love to go to the Philippines but it's half a world away from here. Poland is only a three hour flight.
I was praying one night at work and early in the morning toward the end of my shift I went outside and looked up and saw this. To me, it looks like a cross and possibly an Angel’s wing? I took it as a sign that my prayers would be answered and everything will be okay.
I just realized that this was not the place to post this! I didn’t mean to butt in on someone else’s post, I apologize. I’m not very good at understanding forum etiquette and I sincerely apologize to the members.
No need for apologies, you will get the hang of it. I actually love it when people bring up threads like his because some of them I have not seen before!
I don't think you've broken any etiquette rules by posting this here, seeker of Mary . In fact it's good when old threads are resurrected as it can start up conversations that have been dropped or forgotten. In this case, I see that the original poster of this thread was Andy3 and I have been wondering what on earth has happened to Andy, he used to be so active on the forum and I never see him posting any more. I hope all is okay with him.
