The Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur are an official declaration that a book or pamphlet are free of doctrinal or moral error and that ecclesiastical permission for its publication has been granted.

The official Church diocesan commission is at a late stage of its process and therefore we are delighted to receive the Imprimatur now. We, along with you, peacefully await the outcome of that commission.

Apostles, thank you for your hard work, faithful support and kindness to us on the staff. We are seeing enormous growth in many areas so please continue to pray for us. We are here for you to support your good work in spreading this apostolate. Hopefully, the Imprimatur on the writings will make your jobs a little easier!

We are happy to share with you today the news that Bishop Leo O’Reilly has granted an Imprimatur for all of the writings of Direction for Our Times. This is good news and is another step forward for the Apostolate of Jesus Christ the Returning King. Below you will find the actual language, as well as the titles of the writings. Each reprint will now include the Imprimatur.

 

Is no one else worried that there are real signs that the Direction for Our Times organization is untrustworthy? According to an article by Kevin Symonds, they have made millions. His claims check out online with federal documents. DFOT drawn nearly $15 million from their founding as a 501c3 to the most recently available tax documents in 2017 (and likely much more). Symonds says that Kathryn Clarke (a.k.a., Anne) net an annual salary of over $60K. That was in 2012. More recent records online show that she is making between $100K-$145K (a nice salary for rural Ireland) as president of DFOT with a nice travel budget. There is desperate need for a Vatican inquiry as to whether we are dealing with a real visionary or a Catholic version of Joel Osteen.

See whether Symonds' is right about the "scandal" for yourselves. The IRS-990 is public information.

Focus on Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Don't give any money to DFOT, and you have lost nothing.

We have far to many serious concerns for the Church at this time to be focusing on this alleged visionary or that alleged locutionist. IMHO

Getting our own houses in order, and taking the plank out of our own eye is far more urgent than chasing straws and splinters in others.

 

And I'm sure satan would promote the Blessed Virgin Mary whom he loves so much..sorry I couldn't resist the sarcasm. But really...remember what Jesus said when he took a demon out and what accused that he did it in the name of the devil...

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? it seems to me that you know nothing about false private revelation. all of them promote good things, encourage prayer, even promote the rosary, but the lie is in some detail or some goal. the devil speaks the truth for a long time before telling the lie, and then he can lie more safely. It is pure decepetion.

I have never seen a false revelation that does not promote things from heaven to be able to deceive the imprudent person, and with messages that are even very cute.

 

Thank you for your concern. Not sure if you've ever been to Medjugorje. I have several times. I have never been anywhere in the world that has affected me as much as Medjugorje and I've been to a few . I witnessed the sun's miracle during 2 apparitions, was present during an exorcism and many more blessings than you can imagine nor xould I everpossibly describe- you need to experience on your own. We are each on our own journey. I know in what direction I'm headed in as in my life the Blessed Virgin has given me so many messages...so many (for my own life) as many others may also have received, but I know what I've received. You seem to doubt so much that if I told you that I heard her voice, you won't believe me anyway, so whats the point in trying to convince you of it?
I have had quite a few supernatural experiences. I trust in the guidance Our Lady as she has NEVER failed me. So thank you, but you don't know me nor my journey nor my experiences, nor what the Lord and the Blessed Virgin are doing in my life and in the grace to discern. God bless you.

 

Yes I have been there a few times but I didn't understand what one thing has to do with the other. We are not talking about Medjugorje or your personal holiness.

what you said denotes a profound ignorance on this topic, which was made worse by your sarcasm. and wanting to put your personal holiness in the discussion is a strong indication of spiritual delusion.

By the usual type of strange coincidence, I happened to find the Lessons on Love book from DFOT a couple of weeks ago and have been dipping into it most days.
I find it very uplifting and challenging.
Maybe I am deluded but I think these messages are authentic.
But maybe I should read the Bible instead.

 

Mr. Symonds has done some very good work, even recently in response to the Fr. Rodrigue (CTTK) controversy.

But perhaps you can refute Symonds's points about the financial practices of DFOT. After all, the CDF makes clear that profiting from the fact of an apparition is one of the negative indicators for discerning authenticity.

 

Quis ut Deus, that is your prerogative to dismiss Mr. Symonds.

But he is not the source of this information. "Anne" (Direction for Our Times) is the source. Publicly available IRS-990 return forms filled out by Direction for Our Times themselves should be presumed to tell the truth (to report falsely is quite illegal). And they report to making a significant amount of money, an average income of nearly $1 million per year. Meanwhile, DFOT continues its expansion into international markets. Anyone can see.

If someone is on the fence, I'd encourage him to see for himself what salary and benefits Kathryn Clarke makes through her organization. When the CDF investigates, it is going to take strong interest in these figures.
