Yes, it sounds like this is very troubling statement. The National Catholic Register wrote that it was investigating the imprimatur granted to Luz de Maria. Apparently, neither Luz's bishop, the (separate) bishop who granted the imprimatur, nor the Papal Nuncio had responded to a series of inquiries. However, if the imprimatur is licit, it does not cover messages beyond those contained in the writings examined. It would not cover later messages like this one. I find it curious that the Countdown authors who argue vigorously against accepting the judgment of Fr. Rodrigue's two bishops--calling it merely their 'opinion'--insist that any (disputed) imprimatur should be acknowledged, along with that bishop's praise of the messenger.
And just where was any of that in the message/s? You shouldn't project your own personal feelings upon something nowhere near the exaggerated claims you place upon it. But there are always evil forces that influence to the negative throughout the history of apparitions....coming from the obvious suspect! And people have been swayed to join forces of such which has delayed going forth with the commands coming from heaven. Fatima is one example of that and continues. Another is Divine Mercy's commands which are neglected by most parishes. And the times of Church failure to act has evolved into where we are today.....so that heaven itself must lead into the near future of such great consequences due to the shepherds' own lack of faith...esp. in even accepting the mystical....and esp. in neglecting the Mother of the Church. They are charged with such demands from heaven and will have to answer for their even interference. Out Lady has spoken of such examples to certain visionaries, always gently and a means of correction, when certain bishops, due to their own self made prejudices, have been a means to attempt to stop apparitions from going forward. Not culpable ignorance is one thing, but when anger or hatred or calumny against individuals involved w/o any kind of background to understand the entirety of a PR and those chosen, then certainly that involves at least intentions that refuse to be further informed or a desire to create division rather than continue w/ something, to try to destroy it, when such individuals should just move on, follow their stated personal consciences and allow for same for the consciences of others. Our times are so serious now that the guidance from heaven is beginning to become a necessity to remind the faithful where to look for the Truth.....scripture and the True Magisterium rather than the evolving plans to lead the faithful into sin by those holding authority at the highest places. The news of the day from the Vatican demonstrates just how serious the confusion has become. The LdM messages are some of the clearest guidance for us these days as the world faces such great confusion and chaos....that will eventually lead to the promised renewal of the face of the earth. Very serious if people attempt to keep those in such need of this reminder of what will be the only means of future help, beginning in the present, from reaching those in need. It's, in a way, an example of the parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. Many can still be reminded on how they can still prepare for these times, rather than being caught empty handed while they spent too much time "whistling past the graveyard"!!
Once again, what you accuse the contributors of CTTK of is just not true. Too great attempt here to force one's own opinion via lies about other good people who have a lifetime of loyalty to the Church w/ examples of real sacrifice. There has been nothing like what the Church requires in protocol re: PRs w/ Fr. Rodrigue's bishop done...now no longer even in contact except via snail mail...and what the Bishop granting his Imprimatur after the ordered personal knowledge of the seer as well as the messages to have them printed. That Imprimatur is to be accepted as guidance. The issue is one of the jurisdiction of the bishop who granted the imprimatur, who is not the local bishop but a bishop in a country in which the events did not take place and the messenger has never lived. Normally, jurisdiction is exercised by the local bishop of the place/messenger, and the bishop of wherever the material is originally promulgated/published. To have an outside bishop come and assert jurisdiction, taking it upon himself to both publish and praise, is highly unusual. Thus, the questions. To repeat: The Countdown people dismiss the formal judgments of the two Canadian bishops who have jurisdiction over Fr. Rodrigue as opinion, because they did not use a particular wording in their proclamation. (Jimmy Akin noted that the Vatican does not require any precise wording in its regulations regarding formal judgments on private revelations.) However, the Countdown authors take as virtual gospel the proclamation of a bishop whose views on the messages matches theirs, but whose jurisdiction is questioned. Edited to add: I am taking your word that the bishop himself decided to publish the original material. I haven't seen that elsewhere. I think it's better to avoid the "cheep" shots, Earth.
Sooooo repetitive. There is no "outside bishop asserting jurisdiction". Where in the world did you come up with that? I mean, I've never seen so many people, the usual suspects when it comes to more recent PRs....creating their own situations that simply do not exist in reality ....and just to prove some negative point the personally hold. The local bishop is over any formal procedure which of course has not been established....for any formal decision of a commission set up for that purpose. The Bishop granting the Imprimatur of the Church in this case has fulfilled the greatest of qualifications for such within Church protocol since he knows personally the seer, has studied the messages and had them printed. He also has given the permission to participate in the devotion, the title, the image, and the feast day. This can be a guidance for the Faithful even outside of his diocese since there is no objection to such by the Church. And other Imprimaturs/approvals along the way by other prelates are also to be considered as guidance up and until any formal commission might decide otherwise. And yet it will always be considered as part of the Church history for this PR. People speaking as if they are speaking for the Church while the faithful can certainly continue to read and discern are not apparently very well informed here. As it stands now it doesn't appear that any bishop is claiming jurisdiction over Fr. Rodrigue. As a priest he remains in good standing as does the new religious fraternity that he is forming. He was only under a verbal contract for a number of years when he pastored the parishes given to him in that agreement with the Quebec bishop while he formed the fraternity. When he took on less responsibilities w/ the bishop of the territory's permission that too was a verbal agreement for a certain number of years. Both bishops seem to have washed their hands of the priest and hope to have no more personal inquiries that caused the chancery to be distracted. And not the first time. While in this case the actions taken re: one of the parts of the mystical experiences that they "disavowed" continues with the bishop's permission within his jurisdiction. Go figure! That action does not comply with the public disavowal of everything within those mystical experiences expressed by Fr. Michel. Probably why the separation from him instead. How can you close down what you already contracted and approved of its constitution even while it remains still the fundamental request from the Heavenly Father to accomplish for these end times via just those same "disavowed" mystical experiences??? And yet, such actions taken are probably providential and will allow Fr. Michel to continue this mission freed from other duties and interruptions. May God's Will be done. And this is why Pope JPII told us to discern with reason along with faith. I would suggest the personal innuendos if not outright attacks against the good people of CTTK be limited to one's own competence to do so. It doesn't appear so. The points of some vendetta against some very special Christians continuing to serve God have been made. It might be best to just admit such criticisms have been made and not continue to a point of no return when it comes to breaking the 8th commandment. That seems like they are going against their own consciences when they should set a good example and refrain from what they feel might tempt them to sin. At least they would appear as people true to their own convictions. Somehow in this day and age I doubt if that can be done.
