Thank you Jacksokay for your intention to represent us, the MoG forum, on this day.
I will definitely be praying for you and all the good men at St Columba's church on the 19 November, God willing.

My wonderful Irish Nan (who died the same year as my daughter Erin who died on Christmas day 1987 however my Nan died on the 18 March 1987, she had a great devotion to both St Patrick and St Joseph, I believe she was taken between their feast days because her love for both these saints tugged at her heart and was able to take both by the hand as she entered her judgement before the Lord), my Nan had an unusual second name, her first name was Mary but her second name was Columba! Mary Columba Donavan. It was a different name for a young girl even back in 1910, my Nan told me, when I was a child, that Columba was a male saint, who spread the faith.
What, with my daughter Erin being born on the 19 November and now the place that you are to gather being at St Columba's church one of my Nans patron saints, I'm starting to feel a real spiritual connection to this call for Irish men to be in Derry to honour our Dearest Mother Mary. I believe there will be wonderful spiritual fruits.
    God bless you all. Amen

It hit me this morning reading this thread ….that while I cannot be there in person, I will be there in spirit. I will be praying a 9 day novena St Joseph starting on the 11th. But, I also feel a bit connected as I am a graduate of Iona College (NY). And as you likely know, St. Columba is prominent there. In fact, I remember a beautiful statue of him on campus. So much so, that I took a quick ride the other day to walk on the campus and see it again… with my daughter. Im sure most know the history of the great saint and what he did for Ireland and really the entire world. So, what an example…. Out of a small corner of the world look what can happen. I pray this is what happens on the 19th. I thought this pray was quite prophetic for the 19th. I will include it for you who are attending in my prayers. It speaks to me. Peace

    Attributed to St. Columba:

Ah! Helper of all workers and
Blessed Ruler of all good; You stand
    Continuous guard throughout the land,
    Defending every faithful man,
    Extending lowly ones Your hand,
    Frustrating those who in pride stand;
Great Ruler of the faithful and
    Hosts who in sin prefer to stand;
    In justice ruling every man,
    Condemning sin by Your command;
    Cascading light on every hand,
Light of the Father of lights, and
    Magnificent throughout the land;
No one will You Your helping hand
Or strength deny, who in hope stand:
Please, Lord – though I am little and
    Quail wretchedly before Your hand,
    Resisting stormy tempests and
Strong tumults and temptations grand –
That Jesus may reach out His hand
Unto me, I implore – His land,
Verdant and lovely, be my land!
Yes, make my life a hymn to stand
    Zealous against those You withstand.
Please grant that paradise my land
In Jesus Christ by grace may be,
    Both now and in eternity.

    Adiutor laborantium,
    Bonorum rector omnium,
    Custos ad propugnaculum,
    Defensorque credentium,
    Exaltator humilium,
    Fractor superbientum,
    Gubernator fidelium,
    Hostis impoenitentium,
    Index cunctorum iudicum,
    Castigator errantium,
    Costa vita viventium,
    Lumen et pater luminum,
    Magna luce lucentium,
    Nulli negans sperantium,
    Opem atque auxilium,
    Precor ut me homunculum,
    Quassatum ac miserrimum,
    Remigantem per tumultum
    Saeculi istius infinitum
    Trahat post se ad supernum
    Vitae portum pulcherimum
    Xristus;... infinitum
    Ymnum sanctum in seculum
    Zelo subtrahas hostium
    Paradisi in gaudium.

Praying your angel gets you quickly from your appointment to Derry. Appointments are so difficult to schedule I hate to ever have to do it speaking for myself.

I have been told my sister in law is coming to town to go take my wife out to dinner and I need to stay at home on the 19th to mind the kids. So I need even more prayers, maybe my mother in law would also call (can't believe I suggest that) the I can go to Derry. I have not given up hope yet.

I'll join you in that AED, for John's sake.

Romans 8:28 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Lord, open and close the doors of your choosing on the 19th, that John's heart desire may be granted to give you honor and glory.

Well, of course I'll be in the States on the 19th. It starts in Derry as well as I can see at 6:30am my time on the East Coast. But I have 2 baptisms that morning so if there's a link I'll be able to join in for only an hour via the web. Be sure to provide that link.(y)

Also, Geralyn and I are on vacation for the next 2 weeks visiting Christopher & family in Houston, TX, Fr. Benjamin in Fort Worth, TX, and Rachel's family in California. So the Derry event will occur a day or so after we return home.

God bless you all and your loved ones!:notworthy::love:

Can I just say, I love you people here on the MoG forum!
You are my peeps! as my daughter says!

I have had many pressing things occupying my time over the last week but due to the great grace of God he has allowed me time to complete the 20 decades of the rosary as well as the sorrows rosary of Our Lady each day.

This has been a real consolation for me!

Praise be Jesus for His great mercy to me a sinner. I have been able to continue my rosaries for the group of men in who will gather in Derry in St Columba's church on the 19 November and also the rosary for the 54 day novena that Lois put up to start from the 1st Nov and ends on the 24 December. God is so good to me.

Sufferings may continue ( this is expected) , Jesus is King and Lord no matter what! He is Lord! and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Whether things be grand or naught

You know, even if things turn out horrendous (even after our prayer and penances) we are left at the crucifixion alone we know that Jesus is still Lord, He is still in charge and we are to just follow Him. Thank you Jesus for this guidance
    so simple,
    so edifying
    so peace giving
    so restful for our souls.

Come Lord Jesus, we need only you!
You who are present in all the tabernacles of the world, for love of men
Most Sacred and Holy Eucharist Heart of Jesus I trust in you and I love you.

While I physically cannot be present in Derry on the 19th, I will join with them spiritually in prayer. As a way to prepare and to plead to Heaven for the success and start of a movement here that spreads beyond Ireland, I will be starting a 9- day novena tomorrow to St. Joseph. Perhaps if you have time, you will also ask St. Joseph for his intercession in this very important event.

    Litany of St. Joseph

    Lord, have mercy.
    Christ, have mercy.
    Lord, have mercy.
    Christ, hear us.
    Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on us.

Tomorrow is the big day for the Catholic men in Ireland to rally for Our Lord and Our Lady at Derry at St Columba's church!
May your prayers of reparation and atonement touch the Heart of God and may His blessings and graces pour forth in abundance.
May this gathering be a spark that ignites a fire of Love and Courage for not only the Catholic faithful in Ireland but may its momentum embrace the luke warm and draw all Christians and people of good will to the truth of the Catholic faith in Ireland and may it spread around the world. Amen

I have been praying a rosary each day for this intention at the 19th November men's rally in Derry Ireland.
Below is a little prayer I pray to my daughter Erin. Tomorrow is also her birthday.

Dear Sweet Erin Therese, delicate rose of perfection
    Blessed child of God,
Oh daughter of the Most High Holy Trinity, intercessor of the unborn and sister of the Holy innocents. Pray for us.

Use thy purity, virginity and gentleness, to touch the Mercy of Our Lord Jesus’ Most Sacred and Pleading Heart, so that a rush of Pure Light and Precious Blood flow out and flood our beings with joy, peace and humility, so that we may go forth to proclaim God’s word and to draw souls to Him.

Intercede for us always, sweet Erin, and fill us with the sweetness of your Love, you who are cradled within, Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart. Amen.

Just a little note, Erin was born on the 19th November 1987 and Jesus took her to heaven on His birthday of that year, she was aged one month, one week and one day, she was perfectly healthy, (after her post mortem the Doctors said she died of cot death, meaning they found no cause for her death)
I may be bias, but I have always believed that God took her so she could complete her work in heaven, in fact that is written on her little tombstone, "working for God'. Below is one of the poems/prose I wrote. It may be of interest and possibly helpful to someone. May Jesus use all things for His Glory. Amen

    Erin’s Christmas.

My soul was singing on this Holy day of Heaven
My heart was bursting with Joy
The house bustled with activity, the children played, the men talked and I could see my mother and sister working happily on Christmas lunch.

I looked into the eyes of my beautiful daughter and folded her in my arms, feeding Erin, we sat there alone in the loungeroom and listened to drummer boy.
“Oh, dear lord Jesus, what can I give you on your special day?”
My soul was singing for want of a gift. No gift have I to befit a King, I sang with the drummer boy. This babe in Mary’s arms had given me life and other wonderous gifts such as the joy of the babe in my arms. My heart praised the Christ child and tears blurred my sight.

The Carol ended and lunch was served. Rocking Erin in my arms, while everyone celebrated this great day, the eyes of my Erin rested on me but unaware of their wisdom, I looked on in wonder at their intensity.
Erin was saying “Don’t you realise mummy, Jesus has answered your prayer and this is my last hour with you?” Hold me mummy and let me feel your love, so that I can tell Jesus today, “how sweet is His creation!”

    Cuddling me, I wondered why she wanted only her mother’s arms;

How sweet that hour before her sleep
How sweet those eyes of knowledge
How sweet her form that clung to me
How placid she slept on that hot afternoon.

And while I re-joined the world, Jesus answered my prayer, He heard my soul and took my heart. "Yes, you have a gift for me, more precious than gold, frankincense or myrrh" and from His crib He smiled on me and Mary sweet mother took my Erin in Her own arms and held close to Her heart.

Now as you smile on me dear Lord, you may see tears or even hear sobs but these, dear Lord, are my human expression of gratitude for this sorrow, an even greater gift of your Love.

My Dear Lord Jesus, How I love thee.
