A long time ago in Rome I heard angels singing in a strange tongue “Holy, Holy, Holy”. All night it went on whether I was in REM or awake. It was beautiful and annoying at the same time. I say annoying only because I was so exhausted, and it was incredibly repetitive. I did wake up feeling refreshed though, unlike when the devil has you in a pseudo state of sleep to try and disturb you. That always leaves you feeling like a bag of bricks in the morning.
I too asked my angel's name and although I couldn't really pronounce what I heard in my head, I nicknamed him something close to it. A bible name. Years later I after daily addressing him by his nickname I read somewhere that I was not supposed to do that. Hard habit to break though. I noticed I did not seem to invoke him as much with just begining with Guardian Angel, so I finally went back to calling him by my nickname for him, as I really don't think he minds, and it feels more personal to me. I am mindful of his position and the respect due him. I can feel him and he is very large and warrior like so I have to respect him and realize that God's will is his only duty to me.
I sometimes feel I can glimpse my guardian angel when I pray the Rosary. He usually stands on my right slightly back behind me, or somewhere inconspicuous, bended on one knee with his hands joined in prayer, his wings folded down. I often wonder why he is so small, about the size of a 5 or six year old boy, although more stocky in frame perhaps. His clothes are mainly white. Anyway, I do often say and extra Our Father, 3 Hail Marys and a Glory Be for my Guardian Angel - to thank him for his faithfulness to God, to the Queen of the Angels, and to me. And for conveying my prayers to Heaven.
A few weeks past I saw a multitude of men in different heights dressed with white robes without wings but head covered in my lawn area outside my house. A few seconds they appeared clearly visible to my eyes when I saw through my room window and then disappeared at a sudden.
This song is cool but to be honest not really. It was more like a simple mantra being repeated over and over but in song and it wasn’t in English or any other language I’ve ever heard. Somehow I understood by an interior light that they were singing holy holy holy.
I was praying the rosary with my 8 year old daughter several months ago. When we were praying the 8th Hail Mary of the 5th Mystery, she stopped me stating “Mama, I heard something.” I thought she was hearing something from outside, so I just replied — We are praying, reminding her not to get distracted. She insisted a second time, stating “Mama I heard something.” So I asked her what she heard and she stated she heard “Holy Holy Oh God of Holy” in a high pitch opera type singing. I believe she heard the sing of a seraphim. She states that when in Church, she has a “weird” feeling that makes her feel uncomfortable. It happens every time she goes to Mass. She cannot explain the feeling further than it being weird. She will be doing her First Communion on May 6. I also pray the Chaplet of St Michael almost every day. We purchased some land in the country a few years ago, and the closing happened to fall on St Michael’s feast. I believe we were able to purchase the land because of the intervention of St Michael.
is it forbidden to pray to st Uriel? I ask because some booklets I have downloaded include a prayer to archangel uriel..but if its not allowed I wont trust such booklet.
He is not in the Bible but in other non canonical texts. I wouldn't do it. The Opus Angelorum advises to only recognize by name the angels specifically in the Bible: Michael Gabriel Rafeal.
