I read last year a review in Portuguese of the book Windswept House (1996), and I was surprised that Father Malachi Martin cites a meeting where a feminist nun would have given the opening prayer (with several bishops present) with invocations to the matriarchal blessing of Mother Earth and of Sophia, the Goddess of Wisdom (pagan invocations commonly used by Goddess worshipers, an American neo-pagan sect). I have a question, and some thoughts. First of all, does anyone here remember a prophecy or apparition where it was said that Mary would no longer hold back the punishing arm of God when "they try to take my Son from my arms"? Or something like that? I think about this all the time but can't remember where I read it. If it is reputable, could it be referring to a coming time during which the Eucharist will be removed from the Church because of becoming invalid due to something heretical like interfaith Communion? So the Church would symbolize Mary having Jesus taken from her in this case? Second, I was thinking about the Synod coming up....and how it's some kind of attempt to democratize the Church, which up until now has basically been the last major monarchy on earth. Over the past few centuries, the monarchies of the world have been dismantled in favor of democracies giving supposed power to the people. And to my knowledge, it has pretty much always been a transition that occurs through bloody revolution. So many lives lost, so much suffering... And now we have the Church itself about to have this Synod on Synodality, by which it looks to be trying to change the hierarchical structure of the Church upside down by telling bishops and cardinals to listen to and follow the people instead. It feels like the last major attempt of toppling a monarchy...and the most important one, at that. It occurred to me that since no prior democracy has been achieved without violent upheaval, how can we expect anything less once this synod gets underway? But this will be so much more than a country-wide revolution... It will be worldwide, and spiritual. All that Mary has been warning about makes so much sense when you think about the implications of this synod, should they achieve the goals they seem set on...
From member Praetorian: As to the prophecies of Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora in general, I have always thought the dates they were given to her on were very interesting. If we advance the dates they were given exactly 200 years then they fit with what is going on now. Her vision of the Crisis in the Church was given in 1813. 200 years before the current pontificate began in 2013. In 1816 her visions state that Our Lady ceased asking for Mercy for the world and asked for Justice instead as apostates try to rip her son from her. That could be taken as Brian mentioned above as the early implementation of Amoris Laetitia in 2016 allowing active adulterers to receive the Holy Eucharist. In 1820 she had a vision of St. Peter descending to protect "All good Christians" possibly meaning he will guide those who persevere in the true faith while the rest of the Church abandons it. Could this have something to do with what will happen in 2020? Some more of her visions: “On the Feast of St. Peter, 29th of June, 1820, whilst I was praying,” … Blessed Elizabeth says, “for the wants of the Church and the conversion of sinners, amongst whom I am the first, I was ravished in spirit, and drawn very near to God. Through an infinite light I was so intimately united to Him that I lost all sentiments of myself. The sweet impressions of the love of God replenished me with an inexpressible joy and satisfaction. My soul, however, remained calm in these tokens of Divine kindness. “Then it seemed to me to behold the heavens opening, and St. Peter, prince of the Apostles, coming down, surrounded with great glory and by a numerous escort of heavenly spirits, singing canticles. I was just coming here to post this, after reading it just now on that other thread.... Wow! This is pretty much confirming what I was thinking! Although I was imagining a scenario in which the Eucharist is offered to everyone, even non-Catholics. It seems to me that Pope Francis and others have a very strong emphasis on ALL being welcome---that EVERYONE be allowed to receive Jesus, repentant or not. "ALL are welcome" is repeated ad nauseum. And wow, about this prophecy... I can't help think of the FSSP, the society of ST. PETER, where many good Catholics seem to be flocking to these days...and how they were spared by Our Lady on her Feast day from being suppressed while many traditional Masses were and still are being suppressed. Idk, it makes me wonder. Lots to ponder.

This prophecy would imply that there will be an attack on the Church from within and from the top, or why would Peter appoint a new pope? I had not seen these prophetic words before. They give me hope.
I often wonder what we are to do if/when they do make dramatic changes to dogma. Would the consecration in our parishes even be valid anymore? What is a good Catholic to do to receive our Lord?
The church allows you to receive the Holy Eucharist in an Orthodox church in the face of the absolute impossibility of receiving Eucharistic Jesus in a Catholic church.
Can We Receive Communion in Non-Catholic Churches? Q. Are Catholics allowed to receive Communion in non-Catholic churches? A. No, they are not. Receiving Communion in a non-Catholic church would proclaim that a person is in “communion” with that denomination and its teachings, and therefore not in “communion” with the Catholic Church. Moreover, Communion for Protestant Christians is not what it is for Catholics. We believe that the most Holy Eucharist is truly the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, and this is true because bishops who enjoy an unbroken continuity with the original apostles ordained by Christ have validly ordained our priests. Protestants, on the other hand, do not have this “Real Presence,” as we say, in their Communion; nor do most of them even believe in such a Real Presence in Communion. The only time that a Catholic may licitly receive the Eucharist in a non-Catholic Church is spelled out clearly in Canon 844.2: “Whenever necessity requires or a genuine spiritual advantage commends it, and provided the danger of error or indifferentism is avoided, Christ’s faithful for whom it is physically or morally impossible to approach a Catholic minister, may lawfully receive the sacraments of penance, the Eucharist and anointing of the sick from non-Catholic ministers in whose Churches these sacraments are valid” (emphasis added). It is commonly understood that the churches in which these sacraments are valid are the Eastern Orthodox churches (Greek Orthodox, Byzantine Orthodox, etc.), the Assyrian Church of the East, and the Polish National Catholic Church.
