Wonderful. A great Saint, the Cure of Ars, adored her. His best friend in Heaven. Several saints loved her with all their hearts.

I think being in an Army would be a challenge to anyone's Faith. But there have been several soldier saints. He is young and will not be in the army forever, that will help, I think.

I must check out St Philomena's Cord.:)

I think one thing Kathleen taught me was not to look at saints live in too human a way. I keep feeling sorry for her. But the more holiness the more suffering. The two go together like egg and ham. She does not feel sorry for herself and never did, I am sure. She is up there shining like a little sun.

    I love that poem,

'I saw birds fall frozen , dead, from the trees without feeling sorry for themselves'.

Still it is hard not to feel sorry for others, especially children. Especially when there is such huge suffering.

This is the website of The Living Rosary
This priest, Fr. Ivan Kolodiy, used to be in Dickinson, Texas, but now he is in Ukraine, it seems. Wonderful, and very holy. Updates from the ground in Ukraine.

One thing I notice going around Ireland is Devotion to the, 'Little Saints'. Men and women who will never be Raised to the Altars of the Church but who, when alive, had a great local reputation for being Saintly and even of working miracles. Sometimes when you visit a local graveyard you see loads of candles and flowers around their grave and can see people come to pray there, many, many years after their death.

I knew an old Passionist Priest like that, Father Arthur , a very gentle kind old man. I was surprised when I visited his grave site to see loads of candles there.

Another was an English Traditionalist priest, Father Wilders, who founded a boarding school in the West of Ireland and for whom people still have great veneration.

Next weekend I am meeting an American lady in her 90's who is coming over with her farmer son, who has terminal cancer. They are travelling to meet a Polish priest in the West of Ireland who has a great reputation for working miracles. How on Earth they discovered him I have no idea, I certainly never heard of him.

God is wonderful in his saints. Such a long way to travel. Such Faith. I hope they get their cure.

    Mary,

Pray for this Polish priest. May his prayers for this son and his Mom, provide healing graces that, in turn, can bring others back to the Faith!

    Jesus, we trust in Thee!

Thank you all. So often we are afraid to ask — but he said yes right away and came to the cenacle. So happy but I’m sure continued prayers needed but It’s all in the hands of Mary.

People are getting angry. The French Revolution started over bread. The American and Russian Revolution started over the same kind of thing, money and food.

Hungry, poor, people are angry people. You can feel the downfall of Governments in the air and I don't just mean elections.

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/busines...inflation-risk-sparking-riots-across-britain/

'A lorry drivers’ strike, mass protests by farmers and fishermen, industrial production stoppages: record inflation levels have fuelled growing anger with Spain’s left-wing government as energy prices go through the roof.

After a weekend which saw tens of thousands hit the streets, demonstrators were to head out again on Wednesday evening for further rallies.

Under the slogan: “Rein in prices, protect jobs, stop the deterioration in living conditions”, the action has been called by Spain’s top unions, UGT and the CCOO Workers Committees.

Backed by consumer groups, the unrest comes as Spain saw consumer prices surge to their highest level in almost 35 years, with inflation jumping to 7.6% in February, against a backdrop of soaring energy costs, worsened by the war in Ukraine.

“We want the EU to take all the necessary measures, and at least let countries regulate prices… it can’t keep nations shackled with prices that are completely misaligned with the cost of electricity production,” said UGT boss Pepe Alvarez.

Rally organisers warn the consequences for both households and businesses are serious.

“Month-by-month, lighting bills, heating bills, the cost of petrol and diesel, food, housing and transport just keep going up. The whole of society is suffering,” they said in a statement.'

You can tell lies to people about a million things , but when they are poor and cold and hungry, the lies don't help.

    People just get angry.

The same with all the false nonsense like the Oscars and Netflix and who hit who. All that will be shown for what it is; just nonsense.

Everything will come down to basic things. Like cold, hunger, money.

They won't care about the Virus or the Russian War or Global Warming, anymore, or Pope Francis's latest, 'I need some attention', stunt.

The elites never learn. They push too hard and too cruelly. And then they wonder why the mobs start coming for them. Their sense of entitlement is their down fall. Dickins called it the leprosy of unrealty.
