People come , people go. But there is a good nucleus who have been here from the beginning, I take it as a good sign.

Also I suspect this forum kicks far above its weight in terms of influence. Not to be boastful but there are some very heavy hitters in terms of influence in Catholic Circles are members here.

I suppose its a matter of is the glass half full or is the glass half empty? I think its full and flowing over. I am very positive.

I do a review in discernment in rayer from time to time to check things out and it seems fine to me.

I would be uncomfortable steering people in any one direction. I don't want to be a dictator. What right have I?Anyway I always think if people do not like a particular thread they can steer clear.

I am always conscious too of the times ahead when people will need this place big time. So...

As I was typing this some beautiful music came on the radio which Itake as a little approving sign from heaven.:)

This music in a funny kind of way reminds me of the forum:

There used to be a time when I thought I could contribute to MOG. I love the sight and understand what it's all about but your direction is changing on an unknown course. God bless and God speed... Shepard

Andy3 ...."I love this forum and feel like the apostles in a way when Jesus asked them if they were going to leave, where else is there to go?"
Indy ..."there are no other places where such like minded and kind saints meet and share as our good old MOG forum."

Truly, MOG is a place of refuge. And, she is a group of watchmen.

    Revelation 8:6

    The First Four Trumpets
5Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it to the earth; and there were rolls of thunder, and rumblings, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. 6And the seven angels with the seven trumpets prepared to sound them. 7Then the first angel sounded his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were flung to the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all the green grass.…

1500 is great! I'm glad not everyone is like me, though, or there would be nothing to read.

Padraig, you will never know this side of the grave how awesome this post is to me. It brought a tear to my eye.
It just so happens, last night I had left PBS Channel on because there is so much rubbish on the news channels as well as everywhere else on TV. Well by a sheer fluke PBS put on (an in between programmes) short clip of a man who plays the Shofar. He was showing someone how it works, and blew it a few times. Not understanding the meaning of the Shofar, I thought this must be an ominous sign with the brexit and all the doom and gloom merchants at the moment. Your video clip is telling me, I should not be taking the Shofar coincidence as a bad omen; but a reason to rejoice in our awesome, wonderful God Who is truly with us. As long as we are with Him.

And He has made His presence known on PBS 26th June 2016, in the early hours of the morning. So as watchmen, let us keep vigil and stand ready at our posts, for God is about to show the strength of His arm. Praise God.

Yes, Julia, our Protestant sisters and brothers seem to have picked up on this a lot quicker on this of the Shofar and the Angel sounding the trumpet a heck of a lot quicker than we have.

I suspect when Jesus was Presnted in the Temple by Mary and Joseph the Shofar was sounding as Simeon was proouncing the Nunc Dimittis.

...and of course when Pilate pronounced sentence on Jesus at the Praetorian and of course as Jesus died. The Shofar sounded..as of course it will to announce the Illumination of Conscience:

This reminds me of a dream I had. I was down in a valley with people and there were two high cliffs which we faced. There was an opening between the cliffs by which we had all come in. Standing on top of these two cliffs{one on each side} were two very white beings dressed in white robes, which I understood were angels. Suddenly they started blowing these big shofars, and I woke up.

El Shaddai is the name of the movement for Christian Healing of Memories and Inner Peace founded by Msgr Michael Buckley. I met Msgr once with my sister who was totally overwhelmed with the love and compassion shared by this great Irish priest. He, like Fr Michael Hollings, was subject to false accusations of abuse from which they were both exhonerated and pronounced innocent of all charges. But you can imagine the hell they went through. The malice of Satan knows no bounds but the hand of God. God defends his people.
El Shaddai is difficult to translate but essentially refers to the All Powerful One who nourishes us and provides for all our needs. It is God the Holy Spirit or Breath of God. "It is the Breath of God that makes me and His Spirit that gives me life" Job. And of course this is the title of The Holy Ghost in our creed the 'vivificantem' the Lord and Giver of Life.
