I suppose, at certain times and places in human history it becomes easier to die than to live. Some prophecy for today has said, "the living will envy the dead". I think for true saints, it did not matter to them whether they lived or died, so long as they lived or died for Jesus and the faith he handed on.
I think there were martrys who were pretty well saints even long before their martyrdom and St Paul of Tarsus and St Peter are good examples of this. However most of the martyrs I think were just ordinary people who were kind of fired forward into great sanctity by their imprisonment and deaths. They gave all to Christ and God gave all back in a very short time. St Thomas Moore is a very good example of this. He didn't want to die he wanted to live, he had a family to take care off. But you see him growing in sanctity through his imprisonment and death. I find this very heartening that we can take a high speed elevator to holiness through such a hot house environment. Another good example of an ordinary person flying to high sanctity in a short time was St Perpetua a very ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances:
I was some family members at the weekend and the topic of homosexuality came up. I went on a rant that this is one of the sins along with abortion that will bring down fire of God's Justice and won't be tolerated by the next generation because they will have been brought to their knees to know the fear of God. I told those present to remember my words when the Chastisements comes!! Do you know when you get that look 'who is that nutter' lol.
I describe it as the look they give you when you spout two antennae and one eye like a space alien. What I like is that you said “ remember this”. Hopefully they will and it will be a channel if grace.
There is a story about a prophet in their hometown that I think may relate to this.. What gets me especially regarding this topic is that even 10 years ago there was no way a majority would condone it let alone defend it. It is amazing how fast these things are befalling us now.
The problem as I see it, is that those of us that have come to understand the state of the world and the church and how God's justice is in the unfolding, will not be given the time or the patience to be heard by those who are of the world. Sometimes this causes us to spew just enough information to get their feather's ruffled, but surely not enough time to give sufficient information where with the light of the Holy Spirit they can hear and understand. I know it has been said many times on this forum, "as it was in the day of Noah", but this is where we are at. Truth is abstract to them.

I love Jesus and Blessed Mother, She comforts me and blankets me each Rosary I say. It’s are protection When the warning appears . In my heart I believe it is soon or I am going to pass soon. Today I saw while praying coming up from the clouds a huge earth like sphere not earth, the Lady was standing on it , it was in earths horizon , she was saw tall the planet oh so large. I can’t draw it just describe it. I pray my rosary today I was viciously verbally attacked by a family member who uses witchcraft I was in tears . I prayed for her and forgiveness for how she has tormented me for years. The Blessed Mother we can go to for comfort. Please try to pray Rosary as often as you can for days are short as time is speeding in haste.
