It's not a mystical book or even specifically Catholic, but C.S Lewis' "Mere Christianity" lays it out straight and true.

The point of no return? I honestly don't see how humans will repent and turn back, without Divine Intervention, at this stage. But who knows? God knows. So we must beseech Him.

My brother who barely practices his faith just decided entirely on his own to go to confession and sign up for classes to get confirmed.

Maybe not entirely on his own- I’m sure your prayers and sacrifices for your family’s conversions are being heard

I sympathize. It’s such a sad world. One of my daughters has decided to date a young man who doesn’t want children. She says, she doesn’t want to raise kids in the world today. Europa is what she told me to watch, so I could understand why. I’m beside myself. How sad for these kids.

Our poor children! Praying God intervenes soon . Your daughter situation is very common today…and I sympathize. I’m also seeing so many children raised with faith losing it and losing hope in everything we took for granted.
The world is not offering hope for future generations and they are afraid. Surely God has to intervene….

Surely Jesus can overcome disillusionment. Words of Jesus, “Behold, I make all things new.”
But sometimes that problem seems insurmountable.

You’re right HH… the good Lord keeps us on our knees….where I need to be anyhow! Maybe it’s why He allows these sufferings. He surely knows better than I do and as much as I hate it, …suffering….I know He’s in control….and I most definitely am not…except through prayer. I think this is what the term “ long suffering “ applies to? Cause I’m definitely long suffering :cry:

When people are hungry, cold, poor , frightened for the future and with nowhere else to turn, they will turn again to God. They will see the folly of the modern magazine nonsense that has been filling their minds.

It is impossible to fill a hungry person with nonsense

    They will want fed

God is giving us loads and loads of time to convert. The events of the Chastisement still move relatively slowly. But you can see them speeding up.

    None of us have forever.
