Perhaps if you have open scratches. Haha, that's why I have always hesitate to walk on gravel barefoot
I might add, I wonder if a grounding matt would greatly minimize computer issues & weariness for those of us working on computers all day??
Please don't get involved with grounding. I have direct experience with it. It is not just about going barefoot in the grass. It is about "secret" healing forces that originate in the earth. It is pagan and occult. It is not Catholic. You will open yourself up to demonic influence. See this article to understand the big picture: https://catholicstand.com/catholics-new-age-occult-witchcraft/ MY EXPERIENCE: In 2016, I was living away from the Sacraments and in a state of mortal sin. I had an unexplained blood clot and almost lost my left arm. After surgery, I was put on anti-coagulants to prevent future clots. But I did not want to be on medication for the rest of my life, so I started researching natural alternatives. Grounding/Earthing was claimed to "thin the blood naturally." So I bought the mats and the bedsheets and learned all about it. I was a big believer for a few months. Then I started having strange heart arrhythmias and nearly passing out. The doctors could not find anything wrong with my heart when they performed their tests in the office. A few months later, I had a Sudden Cardiac Arrest and was "dead" for about 15 minutes until the EMTs brought me back. I now have an implanted cardiac defibrillator as as souvenir for my stupidity. Since getting rid of the grounding stuff, I have had no more cardiac arrests. Eventually, I went to confession and started going to daily mass. I haven't had any more blood clots either. I take no medications at all and haven't for over 3 years. My only "medicine" now is the mercy I receive in the Sacrament of Penance and the Eucharist. MY INTERPRETATION: What started for me as a harmless natural health experiment, turned into a belief that there were pseudo-scientific electrical forces that could reset my blood cells and make me healthy again. I didn't pray to God to help me or amend my life to keep the Commandments. Instead, took the pagan path to health, by thinking that achieving bodily harmony through "grounding/earthing" would also lead to a kind of spiritual harmony as well. Grounding was for me a "gateway" into the New Age mindset. At the time, I didn't see it that way. Now it is very clear to me that I looked more to the creation to save me that to my Creator. I think God set me straight by giving me the Cardiac Arrest. It woke me up, for sure.
Yep. Occultic "spirits" effectively block God's Holy Spirit from easily entering in. Your Cardiac Arrest sounds like, 'a blessing in disguise" ..
Thank you for your testimony. That sums it up. It’s not a happy happy happy solution. It’s the fork in the road on the slippery slope. Thank you, Jesus, for revealing the truth to PNF, and then to us.
I just searched for grounding and see many of videos and articles about this practice describing it as spiritual. Wow, this is not what I was talking about and I don't remember seeing any of this spiritual topic in the documentary I shared above - if it is, I'll remove it. Just to be clear, I have only ever listened to science interviews on this subject and in my posts above am not recommending any spiritual practices, just basically the benefits of putting your feet in the gound especially in this day and age. But come to think of it, electricity is used a lot in medicine and I'm wondering about the value or that. I'm seeing a physio now who is using mild electro pulses for a sore shoulder... maybe I need to reconsider this approach! I'm sorry about your experience PNF. You're right about the pagan path being wrong - we should not care about our bodies or health more than our spirits. Truth is I heard a bible specialist say today that healing occurs in the soul first and then is spread to the body if God wills it, so there is our path.
Thank you for sharing your story PNF, what a frightening experience. It is important to hear the truth about these deceptive New Age practices.
