Maui wasn't a natural fire. Natural fires dont melt cars and incinerate concrete and appliances etc. They also don't incinerate one house and leave the house beside untouched. California not Maui below. Now that media is controlled, just like covid, the narrative is all climate change. The 30 year trend is downward on Canadian wildfires. They happen every year, but this year clearly started intentionally to push the narrative. Please God expose the evil and help us all. This isn't from Maui but proof the DEW thing is real. Do your eyes lie to you and say this was a natural fire? From Maui guess a safe spot would have been the orange benches at bottom lolz.
Too many unanswered questions surrounding this fire. Extremely disturbing that there was a complete failure of the local government to warn and protect their citizens. Was it a case of gross mismanagement, or was it intentional? The locals are beside themselves because children were sent home from school due to high winds. Many of these children have working parents, and the children were alone in their homes when the fires broke out. Also many reports from locals who were prevented by law enforcement from driving away from the fires trapping them on the roads. Someone pointed out that in all of the images of the burned out cars all of the car doors were closed. If you saw fire heading for your vehicle it would make sense to flee as fast as you could, and make a run for the ocean that was just over the wall. Why would anyone bother to close doors behind them. How many perished in their vehicles? Everything about this tragic event is troublesome. I too, am having a hard time believing the fire was natural. Seems very strange that the fire was confined to the Lahaina area while all of the multimillion dollar homes were not touched. Fires spread far, and take a very long time to control. Now we hear from the Governor that he will not allow any outsiders to buy Lahaina property, the government will buy it !!!!
JoM, I agree... too many questions still. Was the question answered on why the water fire hydrants were not working? Was there any water available (or blocked?) throughout the those hydrants and its underground pipes? I thought some were saying that hydrants did not work? I just don't get it and I tried to search to find out what really happened? Overall, it's so strange and unsettling.
No clear answer to date about the water issue, or anything else for that matter. I've seen multiple videos posted to Twitter by locals saying their water was turned off, why on earth would they lie about something so serious?
I agree, Padraig. Some members have wondered about the intensity of the fire and the random way that the fire burned, but sadly, it is just how wildfires burn. You can go through images of wildfires in California, and you will see some homes burn on one side of the street while the other side is unscathed. I do not think it was caused by DEW. That isn't to say that opportunists will use this tragedy to advance their goals for some tech-useless community that will be devoid of common sense. May Our Lady of Victory intercede for the victims and for their future.
I hope though that the power companies are held to account. They should have switched of the power long since.
