I am a spell- jaberty magician. In the Kingdom of mispellings I am King. To prove it I can't even spell mispelling.
Great article in 'The Catholic Thing', today, by Fr Jeffrey Kirby. For myself, I'm happy to be an African! https://www.thecatholicthing.org/

One thing I’ve found helped reduce autocorrect errors immensely, at least on my iPhone: Under “Settings” go into “General,” click on “Keyboard” then turn OFF “Predictive text.” The autocorrect errors were driving me absolutely nuts!! Especially after the most recent iOS updates. By turning off “Predictive text” you have to type out words completely, but spelling corrections still occur when you’re done typing them out. More importantly, it cuts down on autocorrect errors that otherwise occur instantaneously with “Predictive text” enabled. These were the ones I was constantly missing before I hit “post” and would have to go back over every post and then correct. This has dropped my level of autocorrect induced insanity immensely.
I love people to be calm and peaceful when they talk. I hate people shouting and screaming and ranting. I find it a big turn off. Adolph Hitler was a good example. I am at a loss as to why people found him so attractive. If on the other hand we look at videos of modern saints I can't think of one really who shouted and roared. It reminds me of what scripture said of Jesus, Isaiah 42:3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; Also; Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" John 1:29, He did appear to crack up in the Temple at the money lenders , this is true and He had some very, very harsh words about the Pharisees but generally He seems so cool. Its the same with Our Lady; I think it might have been at Guadalupe the visionary asked Our Lady if she was angry? To which Mary responded, 'I don't get angry'. The Founder of Opus Dei, St Jose Maria Escriva, comes across so well with this quality of gentle kindness in his talks.
Papa Frankie appears to be constantly angry and constantly tossing about gross insults, slanders and defamations. This is a simple fact. He is famous for it. I find his way of getting on a great big turn off too.

So he wants to phase out the reverend Latin Mass But we can have a chicken dance Mass in Germany. I weep. https://twitter.com/GTV_87/status/1759770896066126331
It ought to be remembered that it was the top religious figures of His time on Earth that crucified Him.
I find it interesting that the cardinal next in line to take the oath at the entrance to the 2013 conclave is José Policarpo, former Patriarch of Lisbon (R.I.P, he passed away in 2014). He was one of the cardinals of the St. Gallen group. It should be no more than a coincidence but it is interesting, given what is known today about the St. Gallen group.
I see the poor man is down with the Flu. It is pretty certain he took the jab as he himself forced everyone at the Vatican to take it. But at his age it is a big thing. Prayers.
Pope Francis had CT scan during hospital check-up, sources say Peoria, IL, USA 1470 & 100.3 WMBD Will Stevenson Feb 28, 2024 | 8:29 AM Pope Francis arrives for the weekly general audience, in Paul VI hall at the Vatican, February 28, 2024. REUTERS/Yara Nardi VATICAN CITY (Reuters) –Pope Francis, who has been suffering from influenza, made a brief trip to a Roman hospital for medical checks on Wednesday but was able to return to the Vatican, his office said in a statement. The pope, who is 87, had checks at the Tiber Island hospital after his weekly general audience, the statement said, without providing further details. Two medical sources told Reuters he had a CT scan. Francis underwent the same procedure at the same hospital in November, following another bout of influenza. The scan allows doctors to see detailed internal images of a patient’s body. Televised images on Wednesday showed a Vatican-registered white Fiat – a model Francis uses regularly – leaving the medical facility in the centre of Rome at around midday (1100 GMT). The pontiff earlier skipped a reading at his Wednesday weekly audience, delegating the task to an aide and telling the faithful he was still not well. “Dear brothers and sisters, I still have a bit of a cold,” Francis said at the audience on Wednesday, announcing that someone else would read his catechesis on envy and vainglory, two of the seven deadly sins. The reading was about one page long. The pope spoke at the end of his audience, sounding hoarse and coughing a bit, to greet some of the faithful and issue calls for peace, as is customary. Francis, who has had a number of health issues recently, had cancelled appointments on Saturday and on Monday due to what the Vatican called a mild flu. On Sunday, he addressed crowds in St Peter’s Square as normal, to deliver his Angelus message. The pope was forced to cancel a planned trip to a COP28 climate meeting in Dubai at the start of December because of the effects of influenza and lung inflammation. In January, he was unable to complete a speech owing to “a touch of bronchitis”. Later in the month he said he was doing better despite “some aches and pains”. As a young man in his native Argentina, Francis had part of a lung removed. The pope also has difficulty walking, and regularly uses a wheelchair or a cane. On Wednesday, he arrived at his indoor audience in a wheelchair. 87. Prayers for a deep conversion, the thoughts of someone who Sits on the Chair of Peter being sent to deepest hell does not bear thinking about. Wouldn't it be wonderful if before he dies he went before the whole world and with tears running down his face admitted, 'I got the whole thing wrong. I'm sorry! Forgive me. God have mercy!'
