I have noticed that some parts of it have kept the Faith better than others. It was the same in France during the Revolution an area called the Vendee remained Faithful. this was because it was well Evanglised by St Louis Grignion De Montford and the Father. Also in Mexico during the Mesonic Governments with the Christero's.
I would imagine events both in the Church and the world will accelerate very greatly after the Idol Worshipping. We will see events that make our eyes ope out, including outright Persecution. Poor people who assume buisness as normal are greatly mistaken. The ship has started to sink, form this point it will go beneath the waves very,very quickly.
Thankyou - nice to be missed !! I'm good DG. It has been a very challenging year, but my prayer life is stronger as a result and I can see God moving in my life more clearly than ever. Each time I think that the difficulties are over and I can relax, another drama hits and I am back on full alert again. Prayer, prayer, prayer. It's the only way to navigate the trials. A lot has happened this year and most of it has helped me to focus on what really matters, and to forget what doesn't matter. I also share the view that 2021 is going to be significant. 40 yrs of Medjugorje. God is getting us in shape ready for whatever is coming.
My belief too. We are reaching the pinnacle of the storm, soon to be hit with tidal wave of chaos before the quietness. This morning as I offered prayers for those who are spiritually not ready for the crushing persecutions we are coming I cried for the lost souls ahead, including our Pope that they may find the road to our Lord before their judgment. I prayed for my own weaknesses in hopes that I too could be ready to help carry the crosses of others. And for some odd reason I thought of our friend Mac. May I be as strong as he was during his fight to the death. His strength to persevere reminds me the final goal is to follow our Queen Mary who asks us to be her champions in this war.
I know Judas wasn't Pope, but you did say God is perfect and does not make mistakes... So if you want a list of Popes that God "chose" to become Pope there is quite a number of scoundrels. Not to mention the ones who oversaw such debacles as the Arian heresy. I'm sure you know that though. Do you think God made mistakes picking all of them? The fact is Popes have free will. A Pope can be a murderer, fornicate, he can sell the Papacy or even espouse heresies. These things have all happened so we know them to be true. Nothing gives you or anyone else the authority to unthrone a pope.
I do believe that our difficult...serious personal problems that has us on our knees may be a blessing. We are forced to depend and focus on the graces and mercy that can only be obtained through prayer. We know at a much deeper level where our priorities should be...not this life...but eternity.

Wow! Interesting stuff My personal thought is that even though Rome's elevation is not as high as some other places, it will probably be protected because the Mediterranean Sea is shallower than the deep oceans. We know it will at least last until it is overrun by enemies. Rome also is intrinsically linked with the papacy and somewhere it says (I think in the CCC) that the papacy will always reside there. That is one reason why the Avignon popes were a problem. For similar reasons Jerusalem will never be washed away (besides the high altitude). It is interesting to note also that among all of the nations Russia is the one with the most major cities located away from the coastlines. I'm not sure why that is, but few of them are located on the coast. This would leave her in a position of power if the Western world had it's many coastal cities suddenly washed away.

I really hope you are right that things change and soon. I have been praying often for PF and all the Cardinals, bishops, Priests etc. It is entirely possible Francis could live another 10 years though. We just don't know. I don't see how a joke about Francis living has anything to do with Mark Mallett. I defend him cause he is a good Catholic and has had a positive effect on my life over the course of many years. I also disagree that he has to say certain things or his value and effectiveness is no longer worthwhile as is often implied/voiced on MOG. You no longer have any use for him, I get it, but the depth of spiritual knowledge he has written about for years can't be deigned and you thinking he is somehow hoodwinked is inaccuate. Yes, my wife and I support him and his ministry and have for a long time. I've also had the pleasure to meet and eat with him and he is channeling the Holy Spirit in a very powerful way which is very rare to see these days. I side with Burke and those calling for correction of the pope's errors but even they know he IS their pope and are standing with him even if they have to correct him. I have tremendous respect for you and your opinions Padraig, despite a few differences I'm on board with 99% of your posts.
