Thanks to God for a wonderful Christmas day. I am so grateful for his mercy. The most wonderful thing happened. One of my declared athiest (former Catholic) friends announced that he would go with me to Mass - and did. What a turn up for the books. God really is great and the 5 first Saturdays most certainly do work.

I hope everyone had as good a Christmas day as I did. That was the best present I could have been given.

Thanks so much for all who prayed for me. I have been quite ill the last few days and have been sleeping a lot. But suddenly last night I snapped right out of it and feel as good as new. I just have to go for the scans now to check for brain damage. But I think my brain is working as badly as it always has. :D

I think I will take two more days of work just in case but thanks so much for your prayers. It feels like a small miracle. :)

I suspect so. I think sometimes people simply by wishing you ill can bring about harm. In Italy they call it, Malocchio.

I read a funny quote from a famous Italian Philosopher. Someone asked him one time if he thought the Evil Eye existed. He said, 'Of course not ! I am an educated man! But still it exists.' :D

But of course I am following medical advise and taking the scans they want. But I had the feeling the Senior Doctor was making guesses.

I am going through an appalling time at the moment - the 'problem' is testing my marriage in an unprecedented way, and could have massive implications for my community... and it was me that lifted the lid on this problem that had been brewing for years, so there is very little material comfort coming my direction.
But i know a significant number of people pray for the members of this forum and their intentions. I have found great comfort in this thought. God is so good to have given me this prayerful support.
you are all in my prayers, and thank you for yours.
God bless each and everyone on this forum, and their intentions.

With your namesake from Scripture, I cry out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy...!" May your lifting of the lid shine the Light of Christ on your marriage and bring healing and restoration!

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
