True. We need not understand the reasons for our Cross. We simply must bear it. I would say the Chalice is drunk to the very dregs when we do not understand, then we may say with Jesus. My Lord , my Lord why have you deserted me? But then add with Joy. But thou Oh God are Holy..Enthroned on the Praise of Israel. At our very lowest moments we must rely on not our own Faith. But on the Faith of the Bride of Christ. Our Mother. The Faith of others.
@Sanctus I'm not sure, but I think I'm getting for close to the Illumative Stage now, I haven't been sinning for a while, I'm gaining good control over my thoughts and urges, and after going to confession this evening to confess some past sins, I felt very clean; it all makes me think I'm on the edge now. I'll try to keep you more in prayers, Our Lady of Fatima told the Three Shepherd children that they were to suffer very much, but the Grace of God will be their comfort, if you have confessed all your sins, you can have Faith that you are forgiven and God's Grace is there, even if you can't feel it.
A well known priest from medjugorje told me back in 2019 that "soon many people will be drowning but you will be on the shore. " he also said to offer up any suffering for the meantime for souls. Perhaps this is the cross that God wants me to carry for the meanwhile
I think it is Peter. Spiritual anguish is every bit as excruciating as physical anguish. Some saints say it is worse. You are experiencing Gethsemane with Jesus. To unite it with Him and offer it--just think how powerful that is!! How many souls may very well escape Hell because of it. Our Lady told the children at Fatima that many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray and make sacrifices for them. You can be that one who does pray and sacrifice!
I can't seem to explain the darkness I've been going through the past couple of years. It is very difficult and feels like God is missing. The future feels very bleak.
I like how succinct you can be, HH! If the only way for us to communicate was to draw upon alphabet letters from our own large box, your box would still be half full at the point I would run out.
Maybe I should kiss the Blarney Stone! One of my old classmates went to Ireland this past summer and kissed it. Last name Garrity. Yep. Irish.
Sanctus, I have put you on my daily prayer list for December. May God touch your heart with His merciful Love and give you joy and peace! Rejoice, rejoice; Emmanuel has come to thee, O Israel!
I remember you in my prayers Sanctus. You are trying, so you are doing all that is asked of us. We should not look too much at ourselves, but look to Him and focus on His Mercy. Better yet, look to Our Lady. I say better to look at Her because we have veered so far away from Him and He is allowing her to be with us to bring us back to Him. She wants everyone to be saved without any exception. Trust in your Mother and in Her Son, not in yourself. The Graces through Her and His Mercy are gigantic, way bigger than any of our failures. Don't forget that.
Andree said it best: You are trying, so you are doing all that is asked of us...Trust in your Mother and in Her Son, not in yourself...We should not look too much at ourselves... She's like a pitcher in baseball who strikes out the batter with the fewest needed pitches:3!
If you don't mind me asking does this impact on every day living for example are you in a job working?
