Driven by fear I expect. If you believe this world is all there is then mortality is probably terrifying.
God is our rock. Though I must be honest I am in a bit of a short fuse myself.I have a great love of silence and being alone. I find this challenged at the moment. People at work keep wanting to talk to me for long periods, I mean maybe one or two hours. I find talking to people for more than ,say ten minutes a real challenge. If they wanted to talk about God or the things of God I would talk all night. But other talk I just find a waste of time. I just can't do it. I want to talk about real things to real people. the only real thing to talk about is God and the things of God. Not talking for some kind of comfort thing. For apart from God there is no Comfort. I am glad I am due to retire next year. I think a lot of the talking is to do with fear. Maybe I am being too hard. Mostly I just want to pray, alone. But if they did want to talk of God my heart would be open, very, very, very open. But they don't, they just don't. they just want to express their fears and anger.
It wears me down. I can't handle "small talk" any more although I try very hard not to let on. To me God is the only thing one should talk about these days. Everything else seems immensely trivial. The need for silence and the constant lack of it can wear on your soul. And I absolutely cannot watch TV.
Yes that is how I feel—really just want to talk about God. I have asked Him for some spiritual friends and He did.Two are coming for lunch tomorrow. They are truly wonderful.
You are blessed. I especially find the times before and after mass I great blessing. Just being alone with the Lord. I really must try and find more time for visits to the Blessed Sacrament. But one thing I've learnt down the years is that God is present wherever we are and whatever we are doing. Housework is great for instance. Thank God I work alone at nights. One thing about talking too much I notice is how quickly it turns to gossiping about other people. Every single time. Quick as Lightening.and you may be sure that the people you are gossipping with will be talking also about yourself. Much talk=much sin.
Hi Desert Star, Are you in the Las Cruces area? I have been worried because I have relatives that are very near El Paso in the Las Cruces area and my nephew attends NMSU. Here in New Mexico our numbers are definitely increasing but seeing the numbers in just El Paso alone is concerning. Several of my aunts who live in Southern NM go to El Paso for their medical care/specialists.
Yes, in LC area. I've thought about locals who have their care providers in El Paso. In the past 24 hours alone, an additional 1,347 cases there. Can you imagine having to be hospitalized NOW to have an appendectomy or to give birth?? "Over-flow" tents have been set up on hospital grounds (unsure if for non-COVID patients or them). Yesterday I saw a whistleblower's report alleging El Paso ambulances going into Juarez to bring Mexican Nationals to El Paso hospitals. A sister-in-law works in one of those hospitals (clerical). Crazy.
I was watching about the protests against the blockade in Europe and I wondered if it would be possible for a mandatory vaccination campaign to be the reason for some European countries to go into civil war according to some Catholic prophecies.
Yes. It's coming. There are already anti-lockdown protests in many European cities -Naples, Paris, Barcelona etc;seious unrest and violence. Slovakia carried out mandatory testing for covid of their entire population over the weekend. Two-thirds took part approx 3.6 million people (less than 40,000 positive using unreliable PCR testing). The one-third who refused to take part were punished by being placed in self-isolation for 10 days (not sure how they are going to police this). The covid 'pandemic' is being exaggerated by the media and governments -- many of those put down as covid deaths did not die of covid but from other underlying conditions. So the official total of 1.2million deaths worldwide is no doubt an exaggerated figure. Fact of the day -- o.ooo15% of the world's population has died from covid (using the official government figures).
