I am going to my third order Carmelite group today....We will lift you in prayer.....
You are most certainly not doomed. Such negative thoughts are not from the God who loves you so much that He sent His only son to die for you and all He wants is for you to love Him. Our loving God is not harsh. Love is positive. Love sees the beauty of creation. Love rejoices in family who care about and for us. Love reaches out to ease the pain of others and share the blessings bestowed on us by God. You are a child of God and will always be His child. You can serve Him without being a priest. The Great Accuser will twist anything to make us hate ourselves and, by extension, hate the One who created us in His image and likeness. We serve God by helping others. It doesn't need to be grand gestures. Even tiny gestures like a smile can bring joy to a stranger. All the little gestures will add up to make us Saints some day. You're better than you think you are but the evil one wants you thinking negative thoughts about yourself, others and especially God. I will offer my next Rosary for you.
Prayers this afternoon doing the housework. Also offering up Mass tomorrow. The devil is incredilbly powerful at moment. According to the Exorcists some demons are nearly immovable after months and months of exorcisms. I am so glad my home feels like a little Holy Shop. But I saw the most beautiful large statue of Our Lady of Fatima at a Holy Shop in the City Centre during the week. I am tempted to buy it but I am afraid too in case the dogs knock if over. I think I will buy a little plinth and special lightening when I get a windfall. When I walk the dogs near my home in the evening just before going to work I have spotted two houses with pictures of Divine Mercy over the front door and on a window to give protection from the virus. So touching. I have one myself over the front door. Suffering from direct attack from the demons is the most wonderful path of personal sanctification. These things cannot occur without the direct permission of God , who orders all things for the good of those who love Him.
You've been on my daily prayer list for a long time. God will give you a vocation, maybe as a Priest, maybe not. Just let him work through you.

Thank you so much for this, Luiflower. Just what I needed. The battle is strong at the moment. There is an area of woundedness in my life that I need to heal to move on.
I believe so, John. Due to go home soon. Still feel like God is missing. But I want to help others and do His will but feel a little lost. Perhaps something may be born out of this feeling of abandoned, because I do love God, Jesus and Our Lady. I've been through too much in the past to imagine that they would have abandoned me now.
Peter sometimes we might seek to hard to feel God instead of just accepting his presence, I am by no way what you would call a prayerful person I just struggle along with the crowd, Therese has been close to me since birth and has followed me on my journey through times of faith and times that I gave up but she always stayed with me even when I ignored her and my faith.. I get by in life doing my vocation as a husband and father and take the opportunity to help others in all instances.. I take great great comfort in being able to make every day tasks my prayer to God, Therese little way, like lifting litter of the ground and doing my chores today not tomorrow so to speak, its how I get by I loose interest in repetitive prayer so try other methods to touch base with Christ, like a simple good morning Lord or a simple thank you Jesus for my life, I hope and pray you find your place on this earth and find peace, Therese herself struggled to find her place.
