Praying for you, your wife and your family, non sum dignus Some wise words from some holy saints...... Your Cross The everlasting God has in His wisdom foreseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you, as a gift from His inmost heart. This cross He now sends you He has considered with His all-knowing eyes, understood with His Divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with His loving arms and weighed with His own hands to see that it be not one inch too large and not one ounce too heavy for you. He has blessed it with His holy Name, anointed it with His consolation, taken one last glance at you and your courage, and then sent it to you from heaven, a special greeting from God to you, an alms of the all-merciful love of God. “There is no evil to be faced that Christ does not face with us. There is no enemy that Christ has not already conquered. There is no cross to bear that Christ has not already borne for us, and does not now bear with us. Be at Peace Look forward to the changes in life with full hope that as they arise, God, whose very own you are, will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will carry you in His arms. “Without the burden of afflictions it is impossible to reach the height of grace. The gift of grace increases as the struggle increases” (St. Rose of Lima).
Thank you everyone! I will let you all know later how God answered your abundant prayers. Thank you all.
Third surgery today. It had spread. Hopefully it is all gone now. We will see the pathology report in a few days. Radiation and 5-10 years of meds even if no more was detected. My spirtual director years ago described going through suffering as God being a sculptor and we are the clay. If the clay could feel, it would not find being kneeded, punched and thrown to be enjoyable. But the master artist has to do it to make the clay malleable....ready to be formed into something beautiful. So I give God thanks and praise for these rough times. The clay does not question the artist, but does well to accept all, trusting in all circumstances and remaining supple in His hands.
I can understand your pain and fear. I am praying that you and your wife will receive good news, and you can get through this tough time. Keep the Faith.
I am offering my poor prayers for your wife's complete healing, non sum dignus, and for your strength as well.
Thank you everyone for your prayers. My wife developed an infection from the surgery. She is back in the hospital on a antibiotic I.V. Hopefully she will not need surgery to combat this latest complication. Plese pray that God will give her peace and healing. Thanks again.
