Praying now, Brian . I am doing the Clonard Novena (6:45 am) this week as Eucharistic Minister so I will offer it up for you . We are never alone so you are in a good place and have a good strong Faith. Pray, hope and don't worry. Trust in God. Ask Our Lady to promise to come to your help when you need it. She would never refuse such a request. https://www.clonard.com/web-cam/
Hi Brian I understand the challenges of crisis when living alone. Sometimes it can be somewhat distressing especially if I can’t get up. Like you I have multiple health problems. E.G. my CPAP forced water into my lungs a few nights ago. I thought I was drowning and could not get the mask off due to shoulder dysfunction. My breathing has suffered since then as has my AF. Anyway, I am still here! As they say “We’re all here ‘cause we’re not all there.”! I wish you well and pray that you benefit from all the grace, strength and peace that our Saviour wishes to give you. Your favourite papal positivist, normalcy biased and invincibly ignorant friend. Padriag, I clicked on the the web cam link....what a beautiful church! When I was watching this morning, there was a gentleman setting up a large white wreath that framed a beautiful Mother of Perpetual Help icon. You are blessed to be a part of the Clonard Novena. I bookmarked the site, I will be praying to the Holy Mother for Brian's health.
Brian. Just wondering if you are having effects of smoke from Canada. It’s really impacting people around here, my asthma has been acting up. A gal at church said her mom broke out in poison ivy and hadn’t been around any. Her Dr told her it could have come grind the Canada smoke as the fires are burning everything. Maybe time to think about wearing a mask, ugh. I hope things level out for you.
We had a poor air quality alert for several days last week. I’m in northwest Virginia so I don’t know whether the smoke from Canadian fires would affect our air quality but our pollen and dust levels were through the roof.
Sorry to hear this Brian, will of course pray for your well being, for the little its worth I shall keep you at the centre of my prayers. Blessings.
It's such a blessing for you to have a forum of friends to call upon. I admire your gumption, Brian. You get knocked down, but always strive to pick up your Cross and press on. Prayers for you! You remind me a lot of St. Paul. You say it as you see it, and like his tent-making, you have your woodworking! Maybe your a clone of St. Joseph and St. Paul! Philippians 3: 12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
I’m doing much better today, thank you all for your prayers. I can really feel their results. Honestly. I made it to mass this morning before my cardiologist appointment and was thanking The Lord for these prayers of so many good people, and His hearing those prayers and their positive results.
