When we lived in the USA our basement frequently got flooded because the pump couldn’t cope. Miserable business. Hope you get it dried out quickly Rory. We live in a semi rural place, on the edge of a large village. My first cup of tea here made me think the milk was off. It wasn’t, we just have vile tasting water. We installed a filter in the kitchen and it now tastes good. Before we did this we used a Brita filter jug. If you drink a lot of water it’s worth considering.
